By the description of Enn, the house must be in the rural areas in the streets of London as their party was located nearby “the narrow houses” with “parked rusted cars and bikes”. I assumed it was near a rural area as the address of the party seemed to be complicated to travel to according to how detailed Enn was with the directions. Since it is set in London, I’m also assuming that the environment in the streets are mostly empty, which is understandable why both Enn and Vic are able to easily go to this party without any restrictions or distractions. The entire interaction was set during a “summer evening”, specifically around 8pm. Based on the musical artists mentioned by Enn (such as Sex Pistols and David Bowie), this is most likely set in the 70’s.

According to Enn, she seems to be the most beautiful woman in the party. She is most likely to stand out among the four women that Enn has interacted with. However, she seems to have an odd connection and relation with Vicc both at the beginning until the end of the story.

In the perspective of the boys in the story, the girls are seen as odd "alien-like" robots to which they cannot understand or relate to; the way it reflects how boys and girls have different expectations of one another. However, these are actual human beings who just so happened to express themselves differently. You could see the difference in how each character thinks in the story. The boys are usually there to not just converse or interact with the girls, but to hope for an intimate sexual experience with them mostly. We could probably relate this to the topic of the male gaze where men only see women as sexual objects; focusing more on their physique rather than their other qualities like personality and intelligence. Notice how in the story, Enn does not remember any detail about what the girls have talked about nor remember the name of the second girl he conversed with (because he didn’t bother to ask). However, reflecting on the personality traits of each character, I slowly understood that this short story isn’t about giving tips on “how to get a girl to like you” or “how to get girls in a party”. The short story talks about the perspective of an average teenage boy (possibly going through puberty) trying to converse, interact and reconnect with some girls he has never met before. The plot itself goes to show how terrible boys are when it comes to interacting with girls our age. The main objective of the male characters in this story is to have a sexual intimate interaction in the first place, whereas the female characters in this story were just looking for strangers to converse and reconnect with. To be honest, I only understood what the boys were talking about instead of the girls because I am a boy myself, I relate and understand more to the male characters rather than the female characters in the story. It goes to show the reality that boys could never truly understand what women talk about or what women go through. From a story that gave a sort of  “creepy thriller” build up that these girls were aliens or creatures because of the way they talk and express themselves, to a reality in which  it was just an ordinary interaction that would have been memorable and enjoyable for many if the boys had the same objectives as the girls. This story points out the reality and the stereotype to which we boys and girls currently struggle, which is to properly understand one another. The way the boys think and interact with the girls here are common in the actual world we live in. The reality where we only focus on the physique and getting to be able to be intimate with the girl rather than having a wholesome connection and a stronger bond with them. This story coincides with the concepts of Feminism, specifically "the Male Gaze".
