the plot and theme of this fable is to not choose a fool for a friend for the king who decided to befriend a monkey was killed by said monkey
at first, you may think it's a monkey like the animal but its not.
you learn that the king has the monkey with him at all times and learns to trust him and even gives the monkey a sword that ends up killing him.
