         <title>Group Purpose</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The purpose of this group is to allow LGBTQ youth to building an understanding of self-acceptance and confidence in their identity. Participants will develop effective coping strategies to navigate the challenges of displacement and LBGTQ-relates stressors and be able to identify healthy sources of emotional support both with and outside of the group. This will allow the youth to build a stronger relationship with their foster parents and other important individuals in their life. By increasing the relationship between foster parents and LBGTQ youth we hope to see stronger sense of acceptance for the youth.</div>]]></description>

By providing information directly to caseworkers that can reach out to the youth and foster parents. Case Manager will provide information regarding the group that includes group purpose and group logistics. If participants are interested, they can reach out to group leader to gain more information.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Building Trust</strong></div><div>Creating a trusting and safe environment will allow the members to feel more comfortable sharing during sessions. Members might feel anxious about how they might be viewed or if their information will be share. To help the youth feel comfortable sharing the confidentiality and its importance will be share with the group. Group will be minded of the expectations and rules that were stated on the conformed consent form they signed. The youth will be encouraged to share about themselves to support a safe environment for sharing information.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Relationships&nbsp;</strong></div><div>The group leader should maintain a professional relationship with the participants all the time and no more than that. Any relationship with a participant may result in a "dual relationship" and may affect the goals of the session.</div><div>Refrain from having a relationship with a fellow member other than therapeutic while engaged in the session</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Closure</strong></div><div>At the end of each session Group leader will thank everyone for the participation during the session and remind them that not everyone experiences the same level of acceptance.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Participative leadership&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>The best form of leadership for the group session is participative.During this group it important to allow the participants to actively engage in the conversation. The group members will be allowed to discuss their feelings, concerns and thoughts in related to the topic being discussed. Group leader lay out the topic but unlimitedly what is discussed regarding the topic lays in the hands of the group members. Participative leadership can be described as leaders guide while “encouraging them to provide feedback” (Everything, 2023)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Two of Yalom’s therapeutic factors will be helpful to understand for the group. Universality which can be described as “ demostatration that we are not alone in our misery or our problems” (Yalom 1995). This factor will culture a sense of understanding within the group that other have been through similar experiences as they have. Yalom’s factor Direct Advice, “receiving and giving suggestion for strategies for handling problems” (Yalom 1995) will also be key to this groups outcomes. Each member will have The opportunity to speak about ways they might cope with curtain issues and also comment on others to give them suggestions.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
