I can agree and disagree with this in certain situations. I think of friends and their enemy. I may have no idea who it is therefore, if my friend doesn't like them and I don't know them, then they aren't my friend. But when I look at more broad perspective I can see how it can possibly be true. It depends on your view, I think Religion gives a broad perspective of the basics of who we were created to be and gives us a perspective of how we should live our lives to best align with who we were created to be. I think what makes us unique as an individual is our gifts and based on if your religious or not that can fluctuate if you think your gifts come from religion or somewhere else. As a religious individual I like to think that I have individuality, traits ,and gifts that separate me from my neighbor and provide me the tools to be my best individual self.

We can express and explain through sounds, pictures, photographs, and other visual references. Adding to this, if we expressed ideas in ways that weren't words, we'd be able to share out ideas with a larger audience, say an audience who doesn't speak the same language as the person with the idea... How would we compare ideas through words if we can't understand the people we're sharing with? By audio. By visual representation. I don't agree with this due to the fact that there are some instances were security can be the difference between life and death, so getting rid of your liberties may be a better option to most people. There are also people who never had or hardly had freedoms in the first place, so they would most likely benefit more from losing what little they have for the security. Security and freedom all by itself can never exist together because those privileges come with danger and security comes with not taking risks.

I barely agree with this statement because love at first sight isn't too common, and the phrase can be used to make someone's relationship sound stronger when it didn't actually happen. I do think that there have probably been quite a few situations where there was love at first sight, but that love in some cases may have just been amazement about their beauty. I do not agree with this statement for a few different reasons. First off, what is considered "controversial?" Everyone has their own way of thinking, meaning everyone has their own belief on what is controversial and what is not. Some people may have a higher tolerance, therefore meaning they may be more open-minded. Other people may have less tolerance to what is or is not "controversial." My second point also relates to the first: Things change over time. Something that may have been considered controversial decades ago may now have been smoothed over. Contrary to that, some things that were more acceptable back then, well, they may not be nowadays. We shouldn't censor or take away these books from out society just because it may not be considered "acceptable" in our time. It was acceptable when it was written, we just have to be aware of the difference.

On a broader scale, I can agree with this statement. I agree for the wrong reasons. I think that ignorance can create an easier way for governments to be stronger. However a strong government does not always mean a strong country, you may be crippled in a country yet the government may be tyrannical and strong but it makes its people weak and the people are the true leaders of a country.
