School Board

This module offers a lot when it comes to reflecting on the past and thinking about how you'll lead in the future. There was a lot of community talk throughout the chapters...but what grinds my gears is when you've got members on a school board that would rather go back in time and continue to run education with a "way we used to do it" attitude vs. a transformational style. My question; when the board of education wants it a certain way...how do you combat it?

What are some other, maybe less "stuffy" or formal means of getting started, especially if you have a history in the building that you are coaching in?

While I can't remove items from my current role (like assessment coordinator and PBIS coach), I would like to improve the peer observer piece. Do you have some suggestions for how I could go about making it more meaningful and less about compliance for observation purposes?
