Hundreds of years ago Cherokee lived in houses made of clay and different plants.the women harvest corn,beans,squash,nuts and fruit.They also ate Turkey,deer and fish.they also hunted just enough for there family.Chief Joseph died in 1904 In Washington state.</div>]]></description>

I also learned that the american goverment made treaty aftery treaty but then broke their promeses.the cheereoke people people are native people who stared their tribe along time ago. I learned that the cheereokee people had a dance where they stomp and some people pray. Cheereoke men used bows and fishing poles and dart guns.Chief Joseph was part of a tribe called the nezperice. cheif Joseph was very peaceful so he surrendered to the usa army when they where fighting.The iroquois lived in long houses.wappams are beads made out of shells.In the 1700's a war broke out beetween the french and the americans the iroqios choose the american side to fight for their land.The peueblou people speak there own language and some learned english. when spanish people came they broght alot of deeseses like small pox it killed many people.inuit people who lived in the actic called them selves inutes or escimos but in sometimes that was insulting. </div>]]></description>

Also, Joseph worked hard to&nbsp; keep the&nbsp; peace between his people and the settlers.&nbsp; There is a tribe named Powhatans&nbsp; and deer is really important to them. Also, they hunt&nbsp;<br>and they have lots of farmers. Another they is they make really good tools, Weapons, and clothing. Also, trees where important for their homes&nbsp; and canoes. Also, they built there houses by water. Another thing is they used wooden poles and grass mats to make there homes and there homes are called longhouses. In longhouses they have deer skin. That Christopher Columbes called them Indians to confuse them to think they were from India. <br> I also learned there used to be a bridge connecting Russia and Alaska that they used to cross to America.<br>Some tribes were Nomadic while some mastered farming. Seven tribes lived all over the U.S.<br>Cherokee....<br>-I learned that Cherokee are Native people of the Southeast. They came before the U.S was a country. Today the Cherokee are divided into clans. (EXAMPLE) Wild Potato, Long Hair, Deer, Bird, Blue, Red, and Wolf clan. Over a hundred years ago, a Cherokee named Sequoyah created a way to write the language. They have a tradition were every time they come to pray and dance, they do an important dance called the stomp dance. But before the dance the play a game called stickball.
