This project will be super helpful for me as a future teacher, also will be a good help in my first practice. I have to admit that this new chapter of my life, as student of English, as a(not yet) teacher, is as exciting as scary. For me, changes have always been terrifying. BUT, I will take the risk of trying. This seems to be an interesting challenge for this young woman. So, let's get started, shall we?

Being a Teacher is one of the hardest jobs of the world. ,A teacher besides of being leaders, they have to be awesome public speakers. So, part of our job is to know how to communicate and express ourselves in the best way possible.
So, here we have some tips to use our body language the greatest way.
This whole entry is based on Vanessa Van Edward's new book "Captivate"

*Showing Your Hands:
"Our hands are our trust indicators. This means that when other people can’t see our hands, they have trouble trusting us."
*Power Posing:
"The more expansive you are–roll your shoulders back, firmly plant your feet, open your chest and keep your head up the more confident you feel and the more confident others perceive you. This is called power posing–taking up space with your body. When teaching, keep your arms loose, roll your shoulders back and keep your head up. This will help you claim the room and own your material."
*Nonverbal Hooks:

Typically there are very low retention rates on a verbal material. You need to hook the brain into remembering your content with nonverbal and verbal explanations. Try to think of ways you can explain your concepts using your hands, your voice or your body.
*Expressiveness:
Vary your voice tone, use a variety of facial gestures to emphasize the important points of your message and moved your hands while teaching.this will help us understand that in the expressive nonverbal classes, you'll get higher ratings from students in every single area, this is because you will not only be communicating your message from a verbal way, you will also be filling blanket for those who are more attracted to a visual interaction. This shows us that being expressive nonverbal captivates our students and helps them remember us and the material more favorably and easily.

In conclusion, there are plenty of ways to catch your student attention, and one of them is using the body language. This will make a more complete speaker and teacher.

For more information, watch the next video were it shows the concept of "Captivate".

https://www.scienceofpeople.com/5-body-language-tips-teachers/

Two Truths and a Lie

This is a classic icebreaker where you form a group and then each person says two truths and one lie. The idea of the game is to figure out which statement is the real lie.
Instructions: everyone(personal recommendation: from 3-to 7 participants) has to sit in a circle. The idea is that everyone can see each other faces. Each participant has to think three statements, two of them are true and one is a lie. The object of this game is that the group figures out which statement is a lie.
Name Game
- Daniela, Sergio and I did this Icebreaker for one of our peer teachings -
The name game is a simple icebreaker that is very useful for introducing yourself to a big group of people. At the same time, the rest has to do the same. This will help people learn names. This game is especially useful when there are new people present.
This is a game recommended for 10-21 years old participants.
The Name Game (also known as the Adjective Game) starts with one person in the room picking a word that will describe him or her as a person. The idea is, that the word that you choose, must start with the first letter of their first name. For example, Everyone calls me Abby. I would say “Hello! My name is Adorable Abby.” The person after me must say my adjective and name before saying theirs. So they would go, “Hello, Adorable Abby, my name is Silly Sergio.” Then the third person would go, “Hello, Adorable Abby and Silly Sergio, my name is Decided Dani.” and on and on.
(inspired by http://www.group-games.com)

English lyrics are very useful for learning new words and expressions. If you work with songs that are personally close to the group you are working on, the result will be better. For each song that is used, it must include the letter in English, observations related to the vocabulary used in the song and the lyrics translated into Spanish if needed. With this type of activities, you can also work on verbal times, and at the same time the ability to speak in English in front of others.

It's funny how everything has change in a couple of months of my short life, my "uni-life" has been amazing and I'm ready for more!
About this curse, It was very helpful to understand that being a teacher is more than just drama and stress (that was what everyone used to tell me about this profession) The HTHC helped me to understand that being a teacher is more than just teaching, It's about creating a connection with your class, show that you're happy with what you choose and that this is what I really want for me, for my life and that if do things correctly, everything will be just fine.
Now, I just want to keep going, it was a wonderful experience and a really interesting class.

I'm not against electronic devices, but we have to admit that for young generations, including me, having a smart phone, a computer, a tablet, etc, is part of us. We can barely exist now without those things.
We have to reconnect ourselves with nature, with our come natural side. We have to stop being so addicted to technology and this can start from school.
As I said, If we use technology properly, this is just fine, but they're some limits.
today, kids and adults have “nature-deficit disorder”. this means that they don't spend too much time on a natural enviroment. this is because of overprotective parenting, the risk of germs and strange diseases. Also, children don't have enough natural areas as they used to have to play freely because of urbanization. Adults, full of schedules and with lack of free time, the only time that they have to rest, they spend it at home or partying, or something of they preference.
We need to reconnect with nature to be happy again. We're always so stress, we don't have time enough, we're always tired and I think this is because we are not able to see the important things in life, like nature.
I absolutely belive that if we spend at least 1 hour per day in some natural area, our lives will be completely different.

Technologies applied to education, are a resource that all teachers should use to capture the attention of their students who were born in a technological world dominated by constant advances.
My personal top five apps and sites:

1.

The main idea of this game es to know all the members of the group and have fun while you're doing it.
How to play:
One by one, you start saying something that you've never done before in your life. If someone in the group have done that before, you lose a point. Every player starts with 10 points. The one with more points at the end of the game, wins.
This game is for people from 9 years old and more. The group has to be more than 3 and max. 20 p.
This is a very fun activity if you want to know better your class or if you want to make them know each other better.
http://auladeideas.com/blog/recursos/lo-que-nunca-he-hecho/

"Let's make a bridge"
The main idea of this game is to develop a better gestural communication between your students and teach them also, how to work in groups and coöperate.
how to play:
In the game you can't talk or make any sound. That's the main point. You (as a player) have to make a bridge with your partners with some of your clothes and you all have to get to the "other side" the one who finish first, without talking or falling or something like that, wins.
The web page where I found this game said that the minimum age for this was 15 years old, but I think this game will work with kids from 10 and more.
you'll need to work with 2 or more groups with at least 4 participants each.
This is a great game to spend time, have a healthy competition and a good group game.

http://auladeideas.com/blog/recursos/formemos-un-puente/
