We learned many interesting things about the camps. For example, we thought it was astonishing that living in these camps, families of large numbers like twelve had to share one bedroom houses. Another thing my partner and I thought was very strange and we think others would find strange as well is that there was no privacy at all whatsoever in these camps. Stranger had to share bathrooms with no doors on them. What my partner and I thought was unfair, is that when the Japanese would arrive at the camps, whatever they had in their suitcases with them is all they got, they were not allowed to contact anyone or go back home. The families that got sent to the camps, said that when they got back to their original homes after releases, the houses were broken into and stolen from.
