As of Today the nation believes in Manifest Destiny. A phrase coined by John O' Sullivan.
America will settle in the western country lands and so the nation's belief is it our Manifest Destiny to make this a reality. To take the west will be a challenge because Mexico said that Texas was their property, President of U.S decided to offer 25 million to get Texas but Mexico didn't like the offer so they declined it.

I was one of the soldiers that fought to get Texas and make it a new state of America. President sent and army to capture California from Mexico too so America could get even larger. I discovered that Mexico's soldiers were poorly trained which made it easier to win battle after a battle.
