"Who is like God?" in Hebrew.
I have been called "Brady", "Mike", "Tom Brady's Brother", "Brady Bunch" and "Brady Bunches of Oats". I am fine with all of these nicknames except the last name.

In one of my chemistry classes, there was a Michael Bradley and, of course, a Michael Brady. I felt bad for the teacher. He tried to remember who was who, but with so many students in the class I truly understand how he could confuse us and our names. Actually, many times when people initially see my name, they assume it's Bradley. I wonder if they just don't want to assume I actually have the last name of a famous TV show. I used to use that show's reference as an aid for people struggling to remember my last name, but that show is becoming so outdated that not many people are familiar with such a reference. http://www.babycenter.com/baby-names-alan-136.htm

They both served their congregations as bishops.
Alan was an avid musician. He graduated from college with a degree in music and taught high school band. Naturally one of his favorite movies was The Music Man.
Michael graduated college with a dgree in Chemistry. He was a geologist by trade. He passed on his love for fishing , hiking and the outdoors to his posterity by taking family members on special trips to enjoy nature's wonders.
I admrie both of my grandparents for their faith, family values and exemplary lives they left as a legacy for me to reflect upon and emulate.
Welcome to Family Search.

Brady originates from Irish heritage. It is an Anglicized form of the Gaelic Ó Brádaigh ‘descendant of Brádach’, a byname, the meaning of which is not clear. While somewhat similar, it is improbable to be linked to the Gaelic bradach ‘thieving’, ‘dishonest’, which has a short first vowel.

Source: Dictionary of American Family Names ©2013, Oxford University Press
Brady Family History.
