I’d cancel,

all the violence,
crime, and
people crying in silence

 

If I were in charge of the world

you would be rewarded for a solution,

not killed by corrupted industries
who are responsible for pollution.

You wouldn’t have deception.

You wouldn’t have 
violent streets or 
die to any lethal weapon,

or “fight the governments battle.”

You wouldn’t even have to win a good life from a raffle.

 

If I were in charge of the world

a vegetable would be a vegetable.

And a person who sometimes

forgot to show up to class,

And sometimes forgot to cut the grass,

Would still be allowed to be

in charge of the world.

why we eat Poisonous food

why breathe toxic air

why we pollute our ocean

 

But most of all

why we let it happen

why we pay to die

why we don't wake up and realize

 

What I understand most is

why the big businesses don't care

why it doesn't matter to them if they pollute the air

why if they don't get caught no one will know its not fair

I wonder if it will ever be useful

I see no use for regurgitating this information

I want to walk out and leave

I am a student who is over school

 

I pretend to kind of care

I feel overwhelmed

I touch the textbook

I worry about the final

I cry over nothing

I understand none of what I read

I say ill get it done

I dream of being free

I try to care

I hope I understand

And I'm learning to be present
Not be late, but on time

And I'm learning not to argue

And I'm learning not to swear

And I'm learning (though it sometimes really hurts me)

Not to care

And I'm learning to be smart

When I make certain choices
And I'm learning that it's much

Much easier to ignore my parents voices

But now I don't think im ready

I always thought it would be fun to do what I want

But I never thought about the responsibilities

I once felt time go by slowly

But now I feel it going faster

If I could go back in time

I would tell myself to enjoy what I got

I never thought of the downside

But I might not be ready

I can't go back

But I can do my best

I won't give up

But I might have a hard time

I used to want to grow up
But now I need to be ready.

I am afraid of typhoons

I am afraid a tsunami will hit

I am afraid the water will be up to my room

I am even afraid of finals

 

I am afraid of tests

I am afraid of dying

I am afraid to lie

I am afraid to keep on lying
I am even afraid of getting shot

 

I want to be famous 

I want be rich

I want to live life

I want to ditch

I even want to own cars

I want to go beach

I want to go eat

I want to leave school

I want to go sleep

And I want to go surf

Most of all

I value honesty

I write because I have to

I trust ill get a good grade

I honor my parents

I give voice to my thoughts

I give voice to my actions

I am patient

I make myself do homework

I hold things I value close to heart

I am happy

I will make my dreams happen
