The idea of this essay is based on the unconscious gender bias which took place in the Leaving Cert. In my opinion, there should be no bias and no boost in points depending on who you are, whether that be race, gender, what school you go to etc. An example of a key thinker who agrees with me on this topic is Kathleen Lynch. A case study this is based on is the article published by The Irish Times that gave the statistics for the Leaving Certificate and claimed that girls had recieved a results boost from 'unconscious bias'.
