I think something like a city that sank beneath the sea after a tsunami can have happened but I'm not certain that this city has had that much of advanced technology and wealth. I personally think that only a part of this myth is true.

Atlantis was a mythical, advanced city that disappeared after a huge natural disaster, like a volcanic eruption or a flood. The fact that we keep finding underwater ruins proves that ancient cities were truly lost to the sea and maybe one of those was Atlantis!
