         <title>GTB - the Greenwich Time Ball</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A public time signal, the red Greenwich Time Ball, was put up in 1833 and was used to synchronize the time.<br>This ball was controlled manually - there was a person, that used to drop the red ball every day at exactly 13:00 (GMT).<br>Since 1852 the ball has been automatically dropped down by sending an electrical impulse. <br>Even today the ball is dropped every day at 13:00.<br>In rare situations, such as when the ball gets stuck due to snow or other unfavourable weather conditions, the ball simply isn't dropped.<sup>[1]</sup></div>]]></description>
