As you review others’ activities: What’s similar? What’s different?

What might you change to improve your activity? I can see this as being a cover page for a grade level packet, if our school decides to do that again this year. The lessons on QR codes would correspond with the tasks for each day. I don't believe the activities I've created on this document attend to the rigor for our 5th/6th students, however this was a great activity to put what I've learned about QR codes into practice.

We have 1 to 1 technology so we are lucky in that aspect. Because of this, every student had access to their Chromebooks, but the problem arose when they didn't have internet. I was in the 5th grade class last year, but this year I will be in the 4th grade. We did as the Schoolvirtually.org website says to do. Every week we would send home enough work with guided outlines for 2 weeks. We would be available to them through Google Hangouts, phone, and email. I would reply with as much detail I could in an email to help a student understand a math problem. We had one student that was at less of an advantage because at first she had no internet. We had to talk on the phone and through her mom's text message, but I did everything I could to help her become successful. After she got internet, we would Zoom video chat every day to get her caught up and on the same page. It's definitely harder to do with no internet, but we got it done.
