The Roman Empire got so powerful because they were really wealthy, had great military power, and their battle strategies helped take over more land.  </li><li>What was the effect/impact on the people in the empire? The effect of the Roman Empire is our art, architecture, sculpture and many more. </li><li>What have we borrowed from this ancient culture?
