Many do not buy into the TTF model due to the influence of others in their peer circles. If many are not using the technology that is said to be preferred, the mindset may be it is not "as great" as advertised. There fore it has no use.

Personal Bias

If they can make it work without (or with limited technology) many may disregard the opportunity to integrate the technology. Simplicity has it's perks. If the "pieces" to the process will disturb the "peace" in the programming many may choose to withdraw from integrating the technology.

The lingering question revolving around this model is whether or not the innovation added improves the programming? It also questions whether or not the technology is easy to use and creates more efficient programming?

As stated in JISTEM, This model seeks to outline whether or not "task characteristics" and "technology characteristics" can merge (fit) together in a positive way to generate positive performance with limited utilization. Can we have less effort and still be more efficient in those efforts when integrating technology?

Individual Consumer Preferences can be the driving factor for whether or not the task t hand and technology can come together in harmony. The individual would want to know whether the technology makes their tasks easier and if so they may be more willing to merge the two for a task-technology fit on the program.
