I chose Borobudur Temple Indonesia because I was interested in how the temples were built in the past. This 3D model allows me to have a better idea of the architectural structure of it as if I’m personally visiting the site. 3D also includes depth whilst 2D is flat without viewing its texture and actual proportion. With 3D modeling, the material of the building can be clearly seen

I think the model of Kyauk-ku-umin Temple, Bagan, Myanmar is particularly interesting as it gives a comprehensive view of the whole temple (all of its sides and the top). We may not be able to have this kind of view even when we go there personally as the temple is large (unless we have drones), but we can view the different sides of the temple easily with the 3D model. And from normal 2D images, we can only see one side of the temple, but with the 3D model, we can easily see the connection between all the sides of the temple, especially in the case that some patterns may span across all sides.

The Inside Sula-mani-hu-hpaya (Sulamani) Temple is quite a interesting 3D model. The model allows me to observe the pattern of paintings, the shape of the budda statue from any angle of views. This is where the 3D models stand out when comparing to the 2D models as 3D models gain the audience the best experience to observe an artifact.
