During this last but longest Prac 3, I actually enjoyed it the most. Maybe it's because I'm returning to the same center and the children and teachers are all very familiar, they are actually very welcoming and warm towards me. They supported me in my LnL and MnM lesson plan and everyone enjoys themselves very much. There isn't any hiccups nor unhappiness, and all my cardboard resources are still being used by the children now.
Thank you

(1) High: Children are interested with one of the resources I made. It made me felt that my hard work paid off.
Low: My on-site was pushed one week earlier as my teacher forgot that our school is having a field trip. Therefore, I kind of rushed through everything. I tried to manage my time well and remind myself to rest when I can so that I will not be burnt out.

(2)
Point 1: I think I learnt how important teamwork between colleagues and offering support to colleagues in need, especially when it comes to taking care of the children in the school.
Point 2: Familiarising with the children is extremely important when an educator has to conduct lessons with the children as there may be lots of unexpected situations.

Not forgetting getting a super nice practicum supervisor!
Low: New batch of children=longer time taken to adapt=crying throughout the morning/whole day.
How I overcome the crying: stay calm, breathe and treat myself to bubble tea during lunch.

2) It takes a village to run a centre/ class, communication with your colleagues/team is important to keep yourself going through the day especially when you are down with teachers or if you need a break from the children cries.
To my course mates: whenever you are feeling stress with the children or paperwork, try to step out and take a deep breath and tell yourself that if you can make it 1 year through this course, means you can overcome the stress. We are at near the finishing line guys!!!!

(1) The lows during Practicum is when the class becomes very noisy and I do not have the ability to control them. I am slowly learning / observing the teachers in my centre how they cope with this and hopefully I will be able to manage the class better one day.
As per my coursemate, Cherlyn's advice: Its ok for the class to be chaotic, there is no need to be hard on ourselves. We will manage it somehow...
The highs were when I saw the students enjoying the lessons that I planned for them.
(2) As my coursemates are in the same industry, it is nice when we know and understand how each of us feels when we complain or when we share our joy.

I really enjoyed my practicum as i'm able to spend more time with my kids and really get to personally know them more instead of only being there to conduct lesson. I am also very thankful that I had an environment which supports me and helped me to do well in every lesson.
I do feel that I am usually too hard on myself when criticising myself. This practicum made me critiqued myself a lot as well on how I can have better classroom management and how I had to better plan my lesson beforehand for it to be an enjoyable and educative lesson.

My group mates reminded me that it is important to always remind ourselves of why we join this industry in the first place and how we all felt when we first joined. We do tend to focus on the lows during work and not the highs. We also tend to want to treat these children as adults but we do have to reming ourselves that they are just preschoolers and they need love more than anything else.

I think this last practicum was an eye-opener for me as I was with the K2s :")
Overall, the practicum was an enjoyable and memorable one as I managed to build good rapport with the children, they were such a joy to be around with as well as to learn from and with ^^ I realised that every educator has their own values and principles (conducting classes/storytelling,classroom management etc.) I noticed I had different ways to approach different situations(children crying/complaining about their friends/talking at timings when they shouldn't be etc) as compared to the host teachers. As I knew, my position as the intern teacher, I should respect and follow what the host teachers do, so as not to overwrite them/confuse the children. I tried my best to learn and do what the host teachers would usually do and I found that it was a little hard for me to adjust to it and I didnt feel like myself.
As such, I learnt that it is alright if teachers have different ways of doing things/managing the class in this industry, most importantly is we can communicate with each other and work together (give and take at times)

Let's all jiayous together!💞 Last lap! We are all in this together!!*cues HSM song*🌈
Every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.☀
Teaching is the greatest act of optimism! 🧡💛💚💙💜💗

High: I enjoyed being able to interact with the children full day which also allowed me to learn more about each of them.

Low: I thought I came up with rather suitable learning centre activities for my children but in the end it was quite hard to execute. The practicum supervisor reminded me that it'll be better if the activity was easy enough even for a child approaching expectations.

It was comforting to know that there were other classmates who experienced similar highs and lows and we are all in this together :)

Everyone!!! We are almost done! You have all worked your hardest in school and at work and it will all be worth it soon, hang in there! 🙌

1) High points: I was able to conduct lessons without being supervised. I thought it was a great idea to be able to experience a class of my own.

Low points: working environment is important. I was not able to work with the attached level properly and had to negotiate my learning space for practicum 3.

2) What inspires you to learn from one another?: I think sharing helps me to learn from other people through their experience. With that, I would self reflect and to become better.

High: I enjoyed being at the school full day over the prac 3 period :) I also liked that I was with 1 class instead of all over the place like other times to fill in/help out. It allowed me time to familiarize with the class's day to day schedule and routines, their curriculum and learning goals.

Low: I was so tired from being present in class and preparing for the endless assignments! It was difficult to meet all the requirements and deadlines.

What inspires you to learn from one another: We all made it!!!! :D I appreciate how my friends and I have encouraged one another and shared knowledge to pull through together :)

High points:
It was nice working with the children. Many of them are so unassuming and happy to see you. They really enjoy interacting with the teacher.

Low points:
Trying to achieve a lot within a short time poses an issue. Sometimes my expectations of the child and their actual ability differs and I have to think about ways to better engage them.

High: children is pretty engaged most of the time. They get entertained when i share stories relating to the lessons. Some of them will enthusiastically ask questions and share theirs too!! When i provide them with concrete materials for them to discover the world around them :')

Low: alright so after that, teach a little too much, some got a little bored and exceeded the required time. Tried to speed up a bit and get them to moving around.

How did i overcome:
Stop teaching and provide hands-on learning. Get them to learn and play at the same time. As for how i go through this, i just keep telling myself, just keep going, you will finish the line sooner than you think. so yea cant believe prac 3 has ended 0.0

what inspires me to learn from one another?
dedications towards this course and everyone here is special, talented and capable people
