They were used to contacting the previous manager out of work at any time, including annual leave, days off etc. I have had to teach them that this isn’t acceptable and that they can cope on their own. Or there are others who the can contact if I am not there. I feel that whilst this was a steep learning curve for the team, it is an example of self compassion and has also given them resilience and freedom from always looking for reassurance. Although this is easy said than done but I feel that having a supportive team around you makes this easier, knowing there is always someone else available to take the on issues. 
Promoting a team attitude is crucial to developing a productive environment but comes with its challenges, within my environment we strive to promote a healthy workplace with staff helping out above and beyond, knowing that when need be the gratitude is returned when they themselves require assistance.
