Journal Reflection

In my encounters of art, I think they encompass what I personally find beautiful. The mundane and silly things in my life perhaps don't have much meaning to someone else, but to me, they bring so much joy. Obviously, the art I see in my everyday life isn't always something that was made intentionally to be in a museum or have an audience look at all the time. For example, the sushi's purpose wasn't to be viewed with an artistic lens such as an art installation at a museum, but I still found it visually appealing and artistic in a different way. Overall, this journal helped me realize that art is up to one's interpretation and beauty is subjective. Art doesn't have to made or done with the intention of being art, but is still valid and visually enticing.
