Revelation is known as apocalyptic literature. This form of writing uses symbols, numbers, and signs to convey stories. This type of literature is very symbolic and often includes visions of other worlds. In The Book of Revelation, the other world is Heaven. These writing are often used during a time of persecutions to hide the true meaning of what the authors were actually saying. The book mainly describes Jesus Christ's ultimate victory over evil and Satan.
