I think we all wait for that one time though, that one time when it ends right.” - The hate u give<br><br>The theme for the book The hate u give is racism. The main plot is about Khalil, Starr's friend getting shot, who was an unarmed black man.&nbsp;The person who shot Khalil was a white police officer, which relates back to police brutality along with racism. The book evolves around Starr and how she is dealing with witnessing first hand her friend getting shot.</div>]]></description>
