the blue color represents the two oceans that surround central america: Atlantic ocean and Pacific ocean. And the blue color represents peace.

The mountain range with the five volcanoes surrounded by two seas represents the tropical and volcanic nature of El Salvador, and the five volcanoes represent the five nations of the Central American independence isthmus.
