This is a concept I have brainstormed and discussed with colleagues recently.  The more meetings I attend just so someone can say they delivered information, the more I realize the importance of effective professional development.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Educators can be a bit controlling by nature, we just need to use that trait to our advantage.  Allow a teacher to be responsible for what they learning, manage the time they spend, and decide when that learning occurs.  This self-monitoring equates to self-motivation.</div>]]></description>

Allowing teachers to delve into hands on, tasks oriented learning, the experience is more enjoyable and information is better retained.          <description><![CDATA[<div>I believe teachers will be more involved in their experiences and more inclined to use their training when they have some say in what they are learning.  I would like to see periodic staff meetings focused on what teachers want to learn and how they want to learn it.  Allowing teachers to choose their professional development focus for the school year rather than being told what to learn will increase engagement and satisfaction and in return improve moral. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Although andragogy is defined as the process of helping adults learn, some of these ideas overlap with that of pedagogy. Especially that of problem orientation. Students learn at deeper levels when lessons are tasks based. Experiential learning works best. </div>]]></description>
