         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chinese rover lands on the far side of the moon Jan. 2019</div><div><br></div><div>On January 3, 2019, The Highly-Anticipated Lunar Landing occurred. The Updated Chang’e 4 Moon Lander and Yutu 2 Rover landed on the moon. Unlike The Prior, Moon Landing With The Chang’e 3 Lander and Yutu Rover This Was A Even Greater Achievement For The China National Space Administration Due To It Being Their First Expedition To The Far Side Of The Moon. Costing About 180 Million Dollars The First Lander Chang’e 1 Was Launched In Lunar Orbit. While In Orbit It Mapped Features Of The Moon And Surveyed Land For Fertile Areas On The Moon. The Chang’e 1 Was In Operation For 2 Years Before It Was Deorbited And Crashed Into the Moon’s Surface. A Year Later The Chang’e 2 Was Introduced In A Follow-Up Mission. The Landers Main Goal Was To Produce Higher Quality Maps Of The Lunar Surface And To Scout Out Areas For A Lander To Land In The Future. The Subsequent Lander Chang’e 3’s Objective Was To Do A Soft Landing On The Moon’s Surface And Deploy The Yutu Rover To Explore The Moon.</div><div>The Latest Landing Was The Chang’e 4 In 2019 Which Landed On The Far Side Of The Moon To Deploy The Yutu 2 Rover To Test Theories And Discover New Geographical Monuments On The Lunar Surface. One Theory Tested Was If A Plant Seed Could Sprout On The Moon. The Lander Carried Cotton Seeds, Fruit Fly Seeds, And Yeast. The Cotton Seeds Sprouted Becoming The First Seeds To Germinate On A Different Land Than Earth. Unfortunately, The Chang’e 4 Lander Was Made To Combat The Harsh Cold -190 Celsius Climate. Due To This The Lander Has A Sleep Function To Conserve Power During The Night Which Cause The Cotton Plant To Die. </div><div>	The Lander Has Also Made Some Discoveries With The Yutu 2 Rover. Easily Finds things on the lunar surface due to the rover being equipped with a Visible and Near-Infrared Spectrometer. This function allows the rover to detect light that is scattered or reflected off materials to reveal their makeup. During Lunar Day Eight Of The Project On July 25 The Yutu 2 Rover Found A Strange Substance While Roaming By A Small Crater. The Chinese Space Team Described The Substance As “胶状物”  Which Is Chinese For “Gel Like.” This Discovery Piqued The Interests Of Many Lunar Scientists World-Wide. After Collecting A Sample Of The Substance, The Chinese Team Has Analysed The Substance But The Results Were Not Released. The Yutu 2 Rover Has Also Found Materials In The Craters Of The Moon. An example of the material found would be a mineral with a glassy resemblance. Other materials discovered on the lunar surface contain rocks with a brighter contrast from regular moon rock. The Yutu 2 Rover works by being equipped with a radioisotope heater unit in order to heat itself to withstand long, cold nights on the moon. And the rover obtains power with solar panels via the sun. Overall, the Chinese Landing in 2019 opened scientists to new knowledge on the moon and introduced the possible implication of a future Chang’e 5 and 6 lander launch to the moon. </div><div><br></div><div>	</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
