Book Clubs support Catherine Latterell's assumption that communities provide stability. Book clubs meet on a schedule, so you can depend on your community. They can also be a source of comfort due to the relationships built with other members. You can learn a lot about another person by talking about books you either like or don’t like.

Book clubs support Catherine Latterall's assumption that communities serve our needs. People are a part of book club communities to talk about the good books they have read. Book clubs discussions allow the members to expand their views and introduce each other to a whole new world of books that they maybe wouldn’t have known about. They can also be a distraction from events happening in our home or our world. Book clubs allow people to enjoy communicating about something they have a passion for. People rely on communities to escape their outside world and to learn from one another.
