The kids were like oh well but then when atticus was saying that she was a morphine addict it made the kids make so much more sense of it. I thought that it was meaningful when Atticus would talk to Jem and Scout about staying calm and not getting into fights with people. Whenever he talks to them about it I thought it was really smart how he goes about it because he knows they are doing it to try and porcet him but he still wants them to manage their feelings. Also because Scout knows how he feels about it when her uncle was so mad she asked him not to say anything even when he was super mad at his son.

I thought this part was meaningful because it showed that people can change their ways.
