Today, I would like you to share an article about a current event that is interesting you right now. You can get the article from anywhere, but if you are stuck, try going to www.npr.org or www.chron.com or https://www.latimes.com/ to find a story. Your answer should include: a link to the story, a summary of the story written by you, and an explanation of why you find it interesting. This should all be at least 5 sentences long.

This article is about the things that vaccinated people can do out in public now that they are vaccinated. It goes into different social interactions and how to stay safe. Also, we don't know what people are and aren't vaccinated so it just talks about being safe, and how vaccinated people can start going back to how it was before. I like this article because it lets people know what we need to do to stay safe and get back to how it was before COVID.
https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/04/29/991253897/youre-vaccinated-congrats-now-what-can-you-do-safely

My dad sent this article to me early this morning and I found it really interesting. I think it will be intriguing to see how well this goes over with Americans because many do not like being told what not to do. I also find it interesting how they are not banning tobacco, just methanol, which 'masks unpleasant flavors' in cigarettes making it easier to become addicted to. I personally think this ban is great because people should not smoke cigarettes.

This article is about the promise of withdrawing troops from the Afghan war by September 11th. While Afghan war generals are aware of the potential dangers of this withdrawal, some remain optimistic about what they've learned from partnering with the US.
I found this article interesting because of my lack of knowledge about the war. While I do know what started it, I did not know about the continuation of it after all these years. I wonder what will happen when our troops come home, and when this war will finally end. As for the soldiers, I am happy for them to finally see their families after such a long period of time.

Summary:
Gov. Greg Abbott announced Tuesday he would sign legislation allowing guns to be carried freely in public without a license. Only a week ago, Abbott refused to say whether he supported such a proposal. Although the Senate does not have the necessary votes to pass the legislation, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick says he is doing his best to move it through the process.
The Senate committee is hearing the measure on Thursday. Abbott told a North Texas radio host on Tuesday, "I think it's making progress."

Why I found it interesting:
I didn't just hear about this today, I actually first heard of this from my sister. When my sister first brought it up I thought it was just one of those false claims but then after seeing this article, I realized it was true. I am actually concerned because if this becomes a reality then many people will now have access to guns and some people will abuse that power of owning a gun.

Summary: This article discusses the effects of human-caused climate change on the planet and how it is causing the world's ice glaciers to melt. Due to high temperatures caused by human production of pollution and other chemicals glaciers are melting at a faster and higher rate. This is alarming news to scientists because even what used to be "stable" glaciers are melting and progressively causing rises in water levels. Soon enough the affects of climate change will be irreversible.
I find this very interesting because climate change and how it impacts life on Earth is a topic I am very serious about. I hate to see how we want to move and explore other planets before we fix and heal our own. I personally feel we aren't doing enough or moving at a fast enough pace to stop the serious and devastating effects of climate change. This is a serious topic more people should be aware of and take into consideration when promoting deals like funding companies that produce harmful chemicals that are released into the environment.

Due to the pandemic Apple has had to reduce their number of conductors resulting in the loss of $3 to $4 billion from sales. This interested me because Apple just came out with new colors to their laptops/ computers. Why do this if you don't have enough resources or people to make the devices. They should've just held off on putting out new products or figured out way to cut back on cost.

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/story/2021-04-29/los-angeles-covid-reopening-dance-studios
This article is about the negative impact the pandemic has had on dance studios especially in LA. When the pandemic hit dance studios were forced to close down and with this it meant that no income will be coming to them. With no income to pay rent for the dance studios it made it more difficult to keep going with the business. After vaccines the studios could open to 25% capacity which did not benefit the dance studios because they were spending more than when full capacity was a thing. However, for some owners this was not about the money but about teaching others to have grit and follow dance. In conclusion, many business have suffered because of the pandemic but what its important is to not give up on it. In my opinion this is very relatable for many because the pandemic has affected negatively. I liked this this article because for me dance it is an important hobby and I'm sure it is for many. With dance studios being closed it not only affects the business but the people as well because dance is a way to get away from stress for many of us.

When the U.S. election came around, it was obvious that almost everyone in America wanted Trump out of office, including myself. When Biden became president, I truly believed things regarding the U.S. border and immigration would get better, for Biden promised to fight for better immigration policies, but as of now, Biden has yet to fight for a better immigration system. Instead of staying silent and just trying to find agreement with Congress, Pres. Biden should fight for what's right and finally improve the issues regarding the U.S. border.

Unfortunately not all of h them make it out. After their deaths the families tend to cherish their belongings and their memories of them. I find that interesting because it’s very sad to lose someone within your family but it’s good that you can cherish their memory of them and have their belongings. Sometimes it’s the best you can do.

Mario Gonzalez , a 26-year-old man, was brutally murdered by police officers after they attempted to handcuff him. He was unarmed and minding his own business. I'm not sure what caused the officers to take action but they did not have to use an excessive amount of force to simply handcuff a single man to the point where he actually died.

The school had told her to take down the flags about BLM. In my opinion, she shouldn't be getting in trouble for supporting a movement to stop the hate. The school was also wrong for telling her to take down the BLM flag. As well as they have no place to tell her what not to put up in her classroom she is just trying to spread positivity in her classroom during these hard times.

I found it interesting how the cows had preferences in music that was being played. They would come when they liked it and leave once a song they disliked was being played. I believe that this was both relaxing to the cows along with the artist. One of the artist even stated that they believe that just as music relaxes humans it relaxed the cows as well. This benefited the artist just as much as the cows that they decided to make it the main concept for this music a School or boot camp. They found that they brought out a comfort to these artist that was only consistently shown through this method.
