Simplicity keeps the reader's attention, especially as a highschooler, it makes it easier to annotate, because it is shorter, and easier to comprehend.

The AI system was newly added to snapchat.  I find it super creepy.  It's responses are super life-like and when I asked  where I lived it told me, which would be normal, but when I questioned why it knew that it told me that it does not have access to my location, which to me is very odd and creepy.

If it were to kill someone on accident, how do you know if it is really your fault, and how do you go about confessing?

The cars should prioritize the driver always, the driver is very important, and should also come first.

Based on what you've seen in the video, decide whether or not this is progress? Why or why not?

What implications does this new technology have for farmers? Are the effects positive, negative, or both?

This is progress because they can move plants around efficiently, they can also keep a plant from going bad, robots do not care how long it takes, and do not get tired.  Therefore this all shows a progression in farming.

 1. How does the article you chose relate to the story "The Wretched and the Beautiful"? - It speaks about how we care about looks, much like the humans in the story when the beautiful aliens came to earth they were listened to, when we see an ugly animal we are more likely to neglect it rather than care for it.

 What findings discussed in the article are similar to what is discussed in the story? Cite a piece of evidence from the article to support your answer.  - The article uses facts and experiments to show that cuteness matters in this experiment "The researchers found that differences in the moral concern and protectiveness for a species were more related to how cute it was than any other factor, including its capacity to think and feel (for stat nerds, r = .75). This graph shows the cuteness scores and the concern/protection scores for the 35 photographs of mammals." This shows that we are more sensitive to cuter things, we want to help them, rather than something we think is ugly. Much like the story where the humans believed that the aliens were nuisances because they looked different, and had different mannerisms.   

In your own experience, are the article's findings accurate? - No, I love technology and like having access to a cell phone, I want to keep up to date on the trends, and used the features that I have access to. 

Do you think it's ethical for parents of children in that area to force them to live there? 
- I think that it may be taking kids away from things they might have to face in the future, but I do not think it is unethical for a family to raise their kids in that environment, there are not many risks to being raised without a phone.

What benefits and/or detriments does this kind of community offers
- this town has its benefits like people are probably really close with their community members, and seem like they have better social skills, and are able to flow well together
