Agustín de Iturbide was a Mexican caudillo, which is a military leader and was the leader of of the conservatives in the Mexican Independence. He was also the emperor for a short period of time. Miguel Hidalgo had offered him a position in the army, which he refused because he was still committed to the Spanish rule. He won against Jose María Morelos and because of that, he was military command for Guanajuato and Michoacán. He was then violently removed.

Maximilian was the archduke of Austria and later became the emperor of Mexico. He was deceived and led to believe that the Mexicans voted for him to be their king, which did not happen. It was actually a scheme between Mexican Conservatives and Napoleon in order for both to get what they wanted. The Conservatives and Napoleon thought he was a conservative, and he later turned to be a liberal. Since he was a liberal, no one wanted him as king, so he was executed, with him being at peace with it.

Guadalupe Victoria was a Mexican soldier and the first president of Mexico. He joined Jose María Morelos in the independence movement. After his death, Victoria led the guerrilla war against the Spanish. He was a supporter of Iturbide, but later supported Santa Anna. He was a part of the Supreme Executive power and later adopted the 1824 Constitution. He was the first elected president, even though he was not the best candidate. He was inexperienced and didn't handle situation well.
