some concerns with the way we determine race, ethnicity, and gender in our future will be due to the great mix of cultures in younger generations. A high amount of babies born have multiple ethnic backgrounds and of mixed race. Meaning that it will become difficult to identify exactly what race or ethnic background that they inherited, only an estimate based off of the race/ethnic background that the person showed the most characteristics. - Isa Meira

Also, people may believe they are different genders and get surgery to change their gender which will be more available in the future.

Some concerns with the way we might determine race, ethnicity, and gender in the future are that all humans might look the same. Races and ethnicities will become mixed due to immigration and cross-breeding between different races. This blending of races will make it more difficult to identify a person's race and ethnicity. In theory, in the far future males and females will evolve to more closely related features which will make it harder to distinguish between the two sexes.

Considering the future, there are multiple concerns regarding the determination of race, ethnicity, and gender. To begin, with the increase in interracial marriage and the diffusion of people of different races across the world, races will begin to cross and coalesce, leading to the development of people with mixed races and ethnicities, creating dramatic and unique differences in terms of genetics and bodily characteristics that cannot be attributed to a single race or ethnicity. In addition, with the modern perceptions of gender and innovations in biology, people have the ability to manipulate their biological and anatomical characteristics. As a result, this may be problematic for forensic anthropologists upon attempting to identify a body in reference to race, ethnicity, and gender, all of which usually manifest themselves through specific unique characteristics which will eventually mix in the future. Finally, based on genetic or acquired medical abnormalities or tendencies, people of specific genders, races, or ethnicities can display qualities contradictory to their actual identification, further confusing forensic anthropologists. In conclusion, these future concerns regarding race, ethnicity, and gender will ultimately impact our current perceptions of forensic anthropology and will create the necessity of reevaluation.

There are many concerns in regards to the future and determining race, ethnicity, and gender because of many new developments. One of them being the fact that it is possible to switch genders now a days, which can make it difficult to classify a male if they are female. They can inject hormones (estrogen or testosterone) in order to get traits of a different gender. Also, with interracial marriage there will be a mixture of different genes and races, causing it to be difficult to determine a person's race. These are just few of the many reasons why it will be difficult to identify race, ethnicity, and gender in the future.

Some concerns regarding race and ethnicity are how common racial mixing has become. For example, many years ago races were more pure due to the same race staying with the same race but now that interracial marriage has become more common more and more races and mixing. This could be a problem when it comes to skeletal identity because a person might look white but have black features due to their ancestors having mixed racially.

This is going to cause babies to have multiple ethnicities because of their parents' backgrounds. Because of this identifying the type of race someone is is going to become more difficult since there will be different ethnicities in one person.

In todays world and in the future it will be harder to predict someones race and gender with their bones to do several factors. In gender, it will be very hard to predict their growth becuase it is possible for them to have a sex change which will throw off the averages to compare not only to the transgender but also to everyone else. Race will chance because as different races grow more families, there will be whiter Asians and Blacks. So there features might reflect more white features even though the have a parent with a non white race.
