<description>University of Illinois, Chicago alumnus Jason Finney completed his Master’s in Business Administration in 2018, specializing in finance. Since then, he has worked as a credit analyst for RJ O’Brien and Associates. Before joining the Chicago-based futures brokerage company, Jason Finney worked in technical capacities in the automotive industry, and developed an academic background in economics and international business.

Jason Finney obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, with a double major in Economics and German. There, he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity; he was also involved in United Way and in providing housing relief after Hurricane Sandy. Following his graduation, Jason Finney interned for the German Institute of Economic Research in Berlin. Mr. Finney returned to Europe during his MBA program as well; this time to Normandy, France, for a summer course in European agribusiness and international negotiation.

Between his academic programs, Jason Finney held multiple roles with Axalta Coating Systems. He was initially based in Troy, Michigan, as a technical representative. Jason Finney subsequently moved to Illinois where he served as a plant launch coordinator at the firm’s Belvidere location. There, he oversaw the launching of Axalta’s Chrysler plant; this involved working with a $30 million automotive account. Jason Finney also spent time as a graduate finance tutor while pursuing his MBA.

In his leisure time, Jason Finney enjoys hiking and travelling. A history enthusiast, he also spends his time reading and taking part in political discussions.
