Once he arrived, he stayed in for a few months before proposing to my mother, and traveling to the USA with her, continuing their lifetime here since then. They told each other stories, life experiences, and a ton of this cheesy stuff that that I could've forbid my eyes to ever see. It was cliché. 
When they met in person, my grandmother (on my mom's side) wasn't too sure of my father at first. She was suspicious, especially since he wanted to fly my mother out to the United States to live with him, and marry him someday. She doesn't even remember the year they traveled to the United States.
