Media agencies like Buzzfeed must be transparent about their biases in order to remain ethical in their journalism. One of the main criticisms against Buzzfeed which has harmed their reputation is that they are heavily biased, especially in their reporting of the news. Many believe that this undermines their credibility. As such, it is important for journalists to reveal their biases to the reader for them to remain ethical and credible.

In a world full of information, media often tends to be biased or sometimes "sugar-coated", hiding the raw truth. Biases in media is one of things that gave birth to the term "fake news", which refers to reports that can mislead or contain misinformation. Today, media is so widely used, but some people are vulnerable to such fake news because they do not do cross-check. By not verifying the information, they may get influenced by these articles that are not necessarily presenting "correct" information. People should learn to identify possible biases in any sources that they may use. Since people rely on these media agencies for information, they must be transparent about their biases so that readers do not get deceived by them. Although the effects of biases in articles may be partially due to the receivers, media agencies, like Buzzfeed especially, should still be transparent about their biases so that they can serve as credible sources.

Buzzfeed's diversity has a positive and negative impact towards its reputation. Given the diversity, audiences recognize the relatability of the site to have text-types that apply to the desired content that a specific audience member has. This gives Buzzfeed the reputation of being entertaining or accessible. The issue with the autonomy of writers towards their text-types is the lack of reliability checks towards the actual content of these text-types while biases are also not as transparent so uncritical audiences may not easily recognize the preconceptions or psychological noise of these articles.

Objectively speaking, the demographics who are the most active on social media are the younger demographics such as the millennials and the Gen Zs. With the internet being filled with a younger audience Buzzfeed creates content that would serve to the interests of the millennials and gen Z. The content of Buzzfeed is heavily focused on celebrities and current internet trends in order to capture the attention of their desired demographic. Buzzfeed content would include articles talking about the latest "TikTok drama" and have a plethora of Harry Potter quizzes which the older generation may deem as trivial and superficial

I think that even though Buzzfeed can be quite controversial at times, the content it produces can still be beneficial. Buzzfeed is a media network that doesn't focus on one avenue of media/communication. From the news articles to the feature articles, Buzzfeed is able to cover so many topics in just one website. However, I think the negative side is that sometimes the content can go out of control. So much content flows in Buzzfeed that it is almost certain that something may go wrong like an inconsistency, an error or even legal accusations like copyright and plagiarism that can easily derail the company's operations and the work of the staff and tarnishing the brand's reputation in the process.

The politicisation of media has always been an everpresent issue: news agencies like CNN and Fox News are among the most prominent representations of both sides of politicised reporting. While it is impossible to escape these biases, as is present in everyone, efforts should be made to ensure factual reporting. Severely distorting reality while presenting it as fact to serve a political agenda is harmful towards the functioning of the nation: poorly informed opinions can cause chaos as is evidenced in the United States. In an ideal world, there wouldn't be any biases and all reporting would be factual. However, that is inescapable and being transparent about these biases would be difficult at best because of the subjectivity regarding what is considered to be bias and the intricacies involved. Therefore, the responsibility should fall to the consumers. We cannot just stay in our "bubble" of media targeted at us. A healthy media diet should include well-cited articles and a mix of reporting from both sides of the political spectrum to ensure a well-informed knowledge of current affairs.

The good that comes from companies like BuzzFeed is that they have a diverse selection of entertaining and interesting content that you can access through their webpage. While the bad that comes from them is that they are political biased especially with spreading Obama's campaign.

Buzzfeed's diversity has an adverse effect on its reputation. It is hard for people to take the media outlet seriously when it posts quizzes like "How Likely Is It You're Going To Hell?" and even with this kind of casual and informal content, they also try to be an objective and non-biased news source, and at the same time have lots of opinionated articles. The kind of media company BuzzFeed wants to be is clouded and all over the place.

Media agencies should, with utmost importance, be transparent. Their biases may deceive people, and overall does not encourage healthy perceptions and beliefs. This however does not mean that opinions are discouraged, it is only for the audiences to be aware that what is being discussed is more of an opinion and not factual.
