Dear Students ,
Its been more than 1 year into the pandemic. We were fortunate to have a breather in between when we had our traditional face-to-face teaching. But yet again we are in midst of this second wave of pandemic and are in our homes. There are a lot of things going on our minds, lots of emotions churning, lot of things that we just want to express. So today I just want you to write what you feel on this Padlet wall. Just for the sake of convenience I would like to give you some prompts. You can talk about 1. How this pandemic has affected your daily life? 2. How can we help each other to overcome this crisis?
you can write about anything other than this . Just feel free and share your feelings!
Waiting eagerly to see this interaction.

There are two things which bug me. First, the resultant lack of interaction and recreation with friends and family has put a different kind of social stress on the plate which clusters with time but inadvertently also allowed some other aspects to improve it the time we are stuck together. Also this kind of present scenario where even a common cold or cough may put you on the radar and isolated even to your family in that time of need is saddening especially with the reemerging prevalence of the disease again. So all things considered life is life, we can't do anything so better atleast enjoy what we have.
Fiyanshu S.

We are missing the physical classes , college life and the fun we had in our hostel. This is a tough time for everybody. The best thing we can do now is to stay at home safely at the same time stay connected with friends and family. I believe that our country will be able to overcome this second wave too .

Its strange to say this, but the pandemic didn’t really affect my lifestyle. It was always like this, I would stay in my room and enjoy my own company. Play video games, read books, and mind my own business. But what this pandemic has changed is the way I viewed this time as. It used to be a leisure time, when I did these things, a part of my mind was fresh because these things, experiencing a new story through a video game, or learning something on my computer, be it about different software, new things in tech, anything of that sort, it used to be fun and natural in a way. Due to this pandemic now, it feels forced. I try to enjoy things while forcing them down my throat, which decreases the enjoyment and satisfaction. That has led to me losing interest and enthusiasm in things I used to enjoy a little while ago. Like they say, you have to have sad days to experience happiness and feel satisfied by it. Without the sad and ‘out of comfort-zone’ days, it all gets boring pretty fast.

As for how we can help each other, it’s just hard to predict how much longer this will last, and that only takes the power away from the statement ‘soon it will all be over’. But what I can say is that its better to wait. Patience may be running thin, but its best for our own interests to pass this time taking as many precautions as possible, not only for ourselves but for the people that surround us, family and strangers alike. We have to remember about the greater good, the bigger picture. Let that drive us forward, until all this is over!

I miss the college, physical classes and hostel. Also my interactions with friends have decreased. But at the same time i have got such a precious time to spend with my family as I have always been away from them since my school days. I just hope n pray that we overcome this pandemic so that we can get back to routine as early as possible. People should be made aware about the precautions to be followed as many people in rural India are still unaware of the importance of masks and sanitizers in this present situation.

The biggest thing I understood during this pandemic is that life is really unpredictable. We don't know what is going to happen next. We need to see days which we never imagined and sometimes we are too much stressed for something but later it passes so easily like a miracle. So it's better to accept the present and make best use of it.
At this point the best thing we can do is to support each other. Love and compassion have power to relieve both mental and physical pain. Try to be kind always.Your simple smile can help someone a lot and you won't even know it. Our first priority should be health of ourselves and people around us.

I have never really put in a conscious effort to think of the multitude of ways in which this pandemic has affected my daily life. I cannot really get my thoughts together for this padlet note but here's what I think:
The uncertainty that this pandemic has brought with it is immeasurable and feels more like a threat, than a surmountable challenge, in stark contrast to what I believe it to be. I certainly haven't been able to come to terms with this and been crippled by inaction and despair. I believe in having a foresight but this pandemic has surely robbed me of that thought.
I haven't really been able to adjust to this little bit of excess time that I've had/still have in a day (the irony). On a positive note, I've been able to overcome a creative block and pick up poetry. I've also had a chance to focus on alternate goals that I wish to pursue as a cyclist and be a tad bit more meticulous in training.
What we can do to overcome this crisis is to be empathetic, be well aware of important facts related to the pandemic. Spreading awareness about the cesspool of fake news that flows into our lives through social media is also very important.
One other thing that we ought to focus on is the psychological distress that this pandemic has caused. Mental health has always been looked down upon in this country but the concerns of this particular field are far more alarming and debilitating. General public as well as the frontline workers must be advised to seek therapy/professional help, if required. We must also try and destigmatize these issues to make it tad bit easier for those suffering to open up and seek help.
