I started having video calls with a therapist not too long ago, I told her about my anxiety and she taught me a certain way of dealing with it. She told me to think of the worst and best cases of the same scenario, then to think of the possibility of it happening or what will happen. Basically intertwining my irrational and rational thoughts, making them coexist without my head exploding. Unfortunately, I learned this after my most embarrassing moment in class, let's set the scene, shall we?

My favorite moment in elementary school was my end of year senior school trip because I just love trips, and that trip specifically we were away from school and home for 2 days. That's the longest trip I have ever gone on. We went on this trip in 2019. Another reason is because I literally got to do whatever I wanted to do and the teacher did not say anything to me, and I also got to be with like 7 of my fiends Tyler, Ziahre, Kartier, Sherod and more the entire time on the bus and off, and we played tag, football, basketball, and we also played fight until the teachers came towards us and told us if we don't stop we won't go out for the rest of the day, so we stopped.

Stories from when I was a kid BY Adonis aly

When I was a kid my dad would take me to the park and play basketball so I would take a shower get something to eat and then put on my clothes. when we go outside I would look at the freshly new paint on the court it still looks the same after these long years steal looks freshly new when we get on the court. we would shoot around some to warm up and then we would start to play a 1v1. I can beat all my brother but the oldest one. because sense he’s taller than me he can dunk and la up on me thats literally the only way he be able to win against me. I also can’t beat my dad well because he went to basketball camp and got taut by a really good couch he told me. sometimes my brothers would come so we would do a 3v3 or my dad’s friends would come and play sometimes. As I was being guarded by my dad's friend I remember I was practicing the spin move by myself sometimes and then I was able to do it on my dad's friend and I made the shot through the net. Clean like water. After we got home I would go to the kitchen to get something to eat and grab myself something to drink as well. I would always drink my pineapple juice because it tastes good with everything but sometimes I would have to drink it fast because my brothers would always try and drink it all before me. After that I would sometimes go into my dad's office and see all the new videos he made. They were song videos and they were really good. I would sometimes watch them by myself or my dad and my brothers would watch them together with me. After we finish watching like 5 or 8 videos we would all start to watch anime together. We would watch like 10 to 15 episodes every time we watched anime one time we even watched a whole series in one night and it had 100 episodes. After we finished watching anime my dad would go out and go grocery shopping or he would go to visit his parents house while he did that I would go and play some games. I would either play Fortnite GTA or Warframe. I mostly play warframe because it is really good and I have been trying to beat it for a long time. It has so many different missions to do. When I'm done I would give the game to my brothers so that they can play. Before they made a fit that I was not passing the game up. and I would go and help my mom with dinner or I would cook. Sometimes I dont cook a lot but when I do my food would be so good sometimes it would be better than my mom's food. but I can never get better than my dad or grandmother because they are both good cooks. My grandmother used to be a chef and she taught my dad how to cook so that is how. They are both good but soon I would be better than both of them. I hope it might take me a while after dinner is done we would all eat and then go to bed but before. I go to bed and I also watch some anime. I don't know why but it is a habit for me to watch something before I go to sleep. After I watch a little of one Piece, I would go to sleep and sometimes dream about being one of the characters in the anime. my favitor is Zoro but I would mostly be luffy. I don't know why though but after each dream I would feel great after I slept like I'm a new person. I would look outside my window and say I'm ready for today with a smile on my face and then I start the day again but not the same way I did yesterday. It's a whole new day, a whole new adventure that is also something my dad used to tell me. Ready for another story. Ok here we go. When I was a child I loved going to different places like carnivales. When I was 11 my parents took me and my brothers to coney island. It had so many different rides and games to try. The first game I played was the water gun game. when you had to aim the water gun and shoot the water into the hole and the hole with the most water in it wins. I almost won but my dad beat me before I could get it to the top. After he won, he got me a stuffed pikachu, a big one because I wanted one after he finished playing the game. I went on my first ride which was a spooky town ride. I had to go with an adult so my dad came with me to be honest I was scared because the monsters would just come out of nowhere and scare me. After the ride finished I was so scared I didn’t want to get off the ride but after I got off my parents took us to the bumper cars. I was too young so I couldn’t drive it so my older brother had to drive the car while I had to stay in the passenger seat. I was kinda mad that I couldn’t drive the bumper car but it was still fun. My older brother kept on ramming my other brothers which was fun after we played some games and got on a few rides. We had to leave because it was getting late but I will still remember this day because it was really fun and I made sure I never forgot about it.

My elementary school was a 4 story building, when you walked in there was a staircase that wrapped up to the 2d floor, the cafeteria was on the 1st floor on either side the left side held my councilors office, the art room, dance room/cafeteria and the “haunted” bathrooms. The haunted bathrooms were all the way at the back of the hallway that led to the park outside and when you walked to it you could always hear the pipes in the bathroom banging against other pipes which made loud noises, you could sometimes hear noises in the last stall all the way in the back which had no light, the noises you would hear were so little yet you felt as if they were whispered right into your ear, it was like that in almost all bathrooms.

Me and my friends and some 6th and 7th graders on the varsity soccer team are wandering in boro hall plaza wondering where we are going because we can’t see the train station. Me, Isaac, and Mikhail are taking turns riding on Emmetts scooter and eavesdropping on the 6th graders' sus conversations. . . . . . . As we get closer to the train station, you can see the ner and wondering to ourselves, will we lose? Keep on reading and we’ll find out. . . . watch your step. . . . .

We make our way down into the train station. Then the reign of terror started. . . first one, then two, then three. One by one Steve started pantsing a bunch of people on the soccer team in the middle of the train station (there were adult strangers who saw and witnessed). Steve got me too almost, I grabbed my soccer shorts before Steve pulled them all the way down. The only ones who were not pantsed were me(sorta) Misha(Steve got him later), and Emmett. As we were getting onto the horrifyingly crowded train some of the 6th graders got lost in the other side of the car, they weren’t paying attention, what idiots. Me and Emmett sat next to each other while Misha and Jonah were playing their online soccer drafting game. “You think we’re going to win?” I said to Emmett, “Hell no! Ok maybe, only because we’re way better than we were in 6th grade.” He told me. Misha and Jonah were starting to get loud on the train while playing that boring, wack game. “You and Jonah still playing that stupid game?” I said. Misha stared at me like my brain was leaking out of my ears and a second head was growing. “It's better than you.” he said back, “I’m better than you at soccer and FIFA and FIFA is way better than that boring game.” I shot back. “Yeah it is, but I don’t feel like playing it.” Misha mumbled. “Whatever.” I said then sat back down. Jonah was standing right in front of me as me and Emmett were sitting in the seats and his pants or soccer shorts or…. Whatever they were…. practically flew off. Steve had claimed another serial victim of his pantsing scheme. It was getting annoying now since it happened in the middle of the train ride, how inappropriate. Isaac, James, and Misha all started getting mad at Steve. Once we got to our stop, we made our way to the front exit and went downstairs to street level, holding our shorts in fear of steve pantsing us again but then he was holding his shorts as well, we wanted to get him back so bad and he knew we had it out for him, we had the motive and eventually the opportunity.

Yup, that's right, he's a New Years Eve pup! Today I’m more excited than anything to leave the comfort of my fluffy blanket and bed warm from my body heat being trapped under the covers all night. Usually I’m not a big fan of waking up. My feet touch the cold laminate floor, as I slowly lift myself off my bed and walk to the door. I twist the silver doorknob as the door creaks open, then turn right to look up the dark stairwell.

It was 3:00 AM when I had to get up and get ready for the flight. I felt like I was dreaming because of how tired I was. We had our suitcases packed the day before so all we had to do was get ready. Once we all had our stuff we got in the car and went straight to the airport. No one really said anything on the way there because of how tired everyone was.it was about an hour before we got to the airport. Even at around 3-4 in the morning the airport had tons and tons of people. Once we made sure we had everything we said goodbye and went into the airport. We had to wait about 2-3 hours before our flight even got there, but once it did we got on and it was about a 2 hour flight to florida. I was kinda excited since it was my first time on a plane and far from NY. on the plane it was kinda weird to think that I was a couple 10,000 ft in the air.

I have a recurring dream in a world that is what I want my life to be when I am older. It's how I want to live out my life. In this dream I live in a warm country all year round somewhere in Europe like France or Italy. The dream always starts around 5:30, I know this because the yellow sunlight penetrates through the green leaves in the garden on the west side of the house. It always starts with me looking down into the garden with the green grass and the swaying leaves in the wind. I walk down the stairs and greet my adopted daughter arriving home from after school activities, and we go through the entrance where you can see the main living area from a balcony, the living areas ceilings are about 17- 20 feet tall and the opposite wall is all glass that opens to the garden. After a little while of relaxation and cooling down from the day we have dinner outside which is salmon with a sweet and savary Japanese sauce with salads and other sides like sautéed spinach and rice. The dream continues into the next day where I wake up still in the dream and go to the studio to work on the pieces to be in my next collection for the fashion company. After working for a little the head designer arrives with many of the other designers and assistants. The head designer reminds me of Edna Mode from incredibles. She doesn’t look like Edna, but she has a leather coat, a short gray haircut and is smoking a cigarette. At the end of the day we sit down for dinner again, now with the designer, and discuss the topic of my older son who is not really my son but my god son. I am like a father figure since his birth mother is not able to take care of him. Right now he is living in New York for school reasons, but he will be coming to the main house for spring break that starts in a few days. I don't get to see him very often so it is nice that he is going to be visiting.

As soon as Spring break starts, I leave for a tour of the new factory in Japan for my family’s car company. We focus mostly on sports cars similar to Aston Martin, but now we work to produce a luxury family sized SUV which is to be the main product of this factory. After making it to the airport with a few company executives that will be flying with us we get on a 12 hour flight to Tokyo.

The factory is beautiful. Its architects modeled it after a modern version of the Japanese aircraft factories before World War II. The factory’s layout is very open and provides a lot of natural sunlight. Surrounding the factory are meadows and the ocean. That's most of that part of the dream. Every time it is a different story that takes place in the same world but something different is going on. This scenario was one of the recent ones I have had. This dream is very important to me because it helps me to keep trying my best and not just give up – to take risks and keep trying. I know that sounds selfish, especially considering what my friends and family have helped me through, but to me this dream is about personal achievement and accomplishment. Sometimes it feels like I just want to give up and this dream helps me to remember to keep going.

“THE CAR IS HERE COME ON LINCOLN!” my dad screams from the living room. We get in the elevator going down. We got down stairs and into the car.

“You ready Buddy!” my dad asks me.

“Yeah but I’m a little nervous,” I reply.

After we had a season with a record of 11 wins and 1 loss, I’m feeling good. Last week we beat a team that beat us in the play-offs a previous season. I’m nervous in the car on the way there with my dad. We’re facing our rivals, the Trotters, in the championship game, it couldn’t be any better. We beat them in the first game of the season. Our rival's coach said something to my Dad, “your team needs some more practice”. We barely even lost that game. We haven’t lost to them since then, but this would be the perfect time for them to back up their talk. Warming up I'm nervous because I know I'm pitching later in the game. I warm up my arm with my teammate and best friend on the team, Derrick. He’s also my catcher. After a few minutes we sit down and wait for the game to start. We’re the home team so we run out to the field and wait to start as our pitcher throws a few pitches. “BALLS IN COMING DOWN!” Derrick yells. The game starts. First inning goes by quickly with no score. The Trotters 3rd Base coach was drinking some sort of alcohol and the ump tells him to put it away when he sees it. He replies in a frustrated way but the Trotters head coach tells him to stop arguing so he doesn't get thrown out. He was standing behind the plate telling the players on his team when to swing and when not to swing. The Assistant coach of our team, Coach Patrick, talks to the Umpire to try and get him to stop. When the ump looks back to tell him to stop he sees him drinking again and gets annoyed.

“Come one man I just told you to stop!” the ump frustratedly says.

“It’s not beer, it's coffee, see!” he retaliates, breathing in the umps face to prove it’s coffee.

“THAT’S IT!” The ump points to him and throws his finger in the other direction, signaling he is getting thrown out the game.

“WHAT, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!” The coach screams back at the Umpire.

“YOU’RE REALLY GONNA THROW ME OUT, IT’S COFFEE.” He continues.

The Umpires dad was at the game to watch his son coach the championship game. With more confidence now the Umpire retaliates by telling the head coach for the Trotters to remove him from the bench and area behind the plates. There was nothing the 3rd base coach could do. It didn’t matter how much he screamed at the Umpire, he was thrown out of the game. He couldn’t coach 3rd base for the Trotters, which was a big problem for them. As the inning goes on not much happens until we get 2 people on base and our best hitter Antonio gets up. *smack!*. He Crushes one for a home run and we all go crazy on the bench as the Trotters lose any smile they had previously. They score some as well, but we answer right back. As I’m warming up to pitch my first inning with Derek, we see a woman randomly start screaming in our dugout. We stop throwing for a second to watch what is happening. We see the ump go over to her and throw her out too! Derek’s mom comes over and tells us that it was their 3rd base coach’s wife arguing about her husband being thrown out. We keep throwing until we have to go back out on the field.

My first two innings go by with me only giving up 1 run. Then I finally got out there for the last inning. I’m feeling good mentally but my arm isn’t. I’ve been throwing my arm out trying to pitch the best I could, and I’m feeling it in my elbow. First batter steps up to bat. The nerves start to kick in. I realize it’s the last inning of our whole season, they were the home team so they hit last. If they score 4 runs, they win the game and the season. I need to stop them. It’s all up to me. If we lose, it’s on, me. “BALL 4 TAKE YOUR BASE!” the umpire yells. I clench up a bit. I’m getting more nervous and I’m not thinking straight and the next thing I hear is, “BALL 4 TAKE YOUR BASE!”. The ump says again. “Come on Lincoln, throw a strike” I thought to myself, getting more and more nervous. “BALL 4 TAKE YOUR BASE!” the umpire says for a third time. I almost started crying. I go to get back on the mound when I hear, “Time please”. I turn my head to see Derek holding his hands up to the Umpire signaling he’s calling a time out. He gets up and runs out to me on the mound.

“What’s going on?” Derek asked, confused about my random pitching slump.

“ I don’t know what is happening, I just can’t throw a strike”. I reply in an annoyed voice.

“You’re in your head. Stop thinking so much, just do what you are good at, throwing strikes.” He replies.

There was a moment of silence until I nodded my head. “ You got this, just throw some strikes to get us out of here.” he says before he goes back to the plate and gets in his catching stance. I take a breath and I don’t pitch for a few seconds. Bases are loaded,”Strike!” the ump yells, I feel a little better. Derek sets up for the outside corner. “Strike 2!” the ump yells. I feel calm, I take a breath. “Strike 3 you’re out!”. The 2 people sitting on our team and the fielder behind him all loosen up a bit. The next batter comes up, it’s their best hitter. I pitch the ball, *CRACK* He hits the ball straight up. “I GOT IT” I scream waving my hands telling my team to back off. I catch the ball. 2 outs. My team cheers again but louder this time. 2 outs, championship game, bases loaded. It doesn’t get much better and nerve racking than this. ,”Strike!” the ump yells. The whole team has a slight smile now. “Strike!” the ump yells again. My heart is pounding, Derek tells me to take a breath, my dad does too from the bench. I close my eyes for a second, but it feels like more. We’ve wanted this for so long, so many tough losses where we should have won. I’ve always been the captain of the team, sadly I never got the stereotypical coaches son treatment. My dad made me lead the team. If I messed around he would always give me the message, “You need to be good, because if you mess around that lets everyone think they can as well”. The team always asked me things like what to do, where to go, for tips, because they relied on me. Now, they relied on me to win the game, and I can’t let them down. I take a deep breath. I throw the ball, “Strike 3 you’re out!”. “YEAAAAHHHH” I scream in excitement.

Derek and I meet in the middle of the mound and home plate and have a big hug. I look back to see my team throwing their hats and gloves in the air. All running over to me and Derek. We’re all hugging and jumping up and down. My dad runs out of the dugout. We meet at home plate and have a long hug. After we calm down a bit, we get into a semi-circle surrounding my dad. He gives a speech for every player then gives them their champion hat. He gives my speech last as he has every year of us playing. I couldn’t feel any happier at this moment, I felt like I just won the World Series. We get ice cream on the way home. I go to sleep excited to show off my hat at school tomorrow.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/123uOALWyGpc7xHRt9a1iHiMAi8Z56Zu74ctxnxTcCRs/edit

I was on my way to my cousins house because it was sort of a party and my cousin’s mom’s parents came from a different country to visit and they invited us over to so we went it was a saturday afternoon and i was excited to go because my cousin Alex was one of my favorite cousins and also because it was a pretty long car ride and i love going on the highway and listening to music and looking at the sky.We got their and we started to put all the carne onto the grill and started to relax while we were waiting for the carne to be done we went to the park to play soccer and it didn’t go really well Alex (my cousin) played soccer without any socks or shoes and he slide tackled and he scraped most of leg and it looked so gross and ugly.We went home after and relaxed, then we went to shoprite and bought some things came back and the food was ready, we ate and played some video games watched tv for a while. It was night time about 11:00pm and me and my cousin were in the balcony talking about some stuff the breeze was nice looking up in the sky looking at the moon enjoying the night but getting to go to sleep wasn't the best thing u see it was a sunday and we had school the next day and my grandparents had to work when it was time to sleep it was like 12:30,went to sleep woke up at 2:00AM and this is where almost the worst night of my life happened. My grandparents woke me up telling me it's time to go i felt super tired and pretty confused onto what was going while i was waking up my grandpa was trying to find the car keys and that took way too long it was really a struggle we didn't know where the car keys were we definitely took a hour looking for them and my mind final worked i remembered earlier in the day my grandpa told me to get his sweater from the car and i remember i went to go get it and i think i turned the car on and then i got the sweater and went back,so that's when i thought that the car keys were possibly in the car and well… they were and i also left the car on and with the doors unlocked so the car battery died so we had to go get my cousins dad’s car so my grandpa could put the battery??? I didn't really understand what they needed the other car for or how another car can give battery to another car but whatever,we finally were ready to start heading home we kinda forgot the way but figured it out.We got home at 5 AM and i got a really short time to sleep i literally got home and went to bed and went to sleep even with my backpack on.The saddest part of this story is that i still went to school..

I remember being in 6th grade,It was a normal day like it always was It was march 2020 a friday I think, We had started hearing a bit about what was going on with covid and how a lot of people were getting this new virus and how some people were even dying. I was kind of scared About it because a lot of ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎people were starting to talk about it. I was sitting in my classroom , it was the last period of the day when suddenly A teacher came into my classroom and I heard her whisper something into my teachers ear A few minutes later My teacher told us That we school would be closed for the next 2 weeks due to rising cases of covid. I was Kinda happy because we wouldn't have to be going to school for 2 weeks and we could stay at home and just do the schoolwork and home. When I was in the hallways walking to the doors to leave school I heard a lot of people talking about it, “no school for 2 weeks we could just stay home”. When I walked out the door I didnt know that we wouldn't be returning to school for more then 2 weeks. I remember the first time I had to do online classes, it was different then being in the classroom. When the 2 weeks had passed I thought that we would be returning but then I got a email saying that we wouldn't be returning to school for another 2 weeks. After those 2 weeks had passed It was another 2 weeks then another 2 weeks then another 2 weeks. Online school started to get hard because I would get distracted a lot and it wasn't the same as being in the school. I had started wanting to go back to school and I always got really disappointed when i though we would be returning to school but then they said we had to stay home for another couple months. I had to go through the rest of 6th grade and beginning of 7th grade online. Online school was also kind of fun because i could just wake up and just go on my computer and i didnt have to turn on my camera, When we finally did go back to school in 7th grade halfway through the year it was really different then how it was in 6th grade, It was a whole new building since we were put in a temporary space since our new middle school was being built. The classrooms were really different. We had to wear our mask and we didnt more classes we would stay in the same class the whole day and our teachers would come into our class to teach us. A lot of people that i hadn't seen since 6th grade had changed a lot, A lot of people had gotten taller or there voice changed in only a year. We would have to eat lunch in our classroom and we weren't allowed to go outside for recess after a month. The school year went by pretty fast and was fun because it had been months since i had been in person at school. When 8th grade started it was like everything went back to normal, everyone had come back to school they only thing that was still the same was we had to wear mask and eat lunch separately. 8th grade was really fun because everyone was back in school and we got to be in person. The 8th grade school year when by really quickly and now we have to go to highschool.
