For me this picture says it all. "Stars around my scars". No matter how hard the past was on me, the present is in my favour. The damage done can't be reversed but can be healed, bandages symbolise the past disasters, the butterflies symbolise the present. In the end I am stil the same yet reborn.

We don't need to give a face to beauty, maybe the past was harsh on her, but the present is what favours her. "Not every beauty has a face some might have a golden soul" with butterflies all around their scars. Well again she's blind sighted yet not blind, has a dark canvas yet glowing paint.

But one mustn’t forget that what draws them to the flowers mainly is the smell of the pollen ( nectar).

No matter how much helpless you feel ; no matter how many times opportunities abandon your life’s door ; Even in the grimmest times whenever you’re voice has been stolen and you’re vision blackened , hold on and remember -
“Out of suffering emerge the strongest soul ; seared with scars”. This picture reminds me the need of being ‘resilient’ in today’s world where success isn’t defined by your IQ but also your emotional quotient.

Make your emotions as strong and intimidating like nectar ; and opportunities with flatter around you like butterflies around a flower.

Pain is a part of life, and that pain helps you grow into a more well-rounded and mature individual who is more capable of handling the ups and downs in life. And this difficult time of hers has made her strong and resilient. But things are changed in the present now,she has moved on and is trying to live in the present. The bandages symbolizes the difficulties or the pain she's been through and the butterfly symbolizes that the girl confront it and now she has started over.

Butterflies are not only beautiful, but also have mystery, symbolism and meaning and are a metaphor representing spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope and life. The magnificent, yet short life of the butterfly closely mirrors the process of spiritual transformation and serves to remind us that life is short.

In this picture the person does not want to remove that cloth and forget his/her painful past . Butterfly is symbolic of hope. She does not want to see the ray of hope and change that is there. Butterfly represents life and reminds that life is transient. The best way to live life is by forgetting past and living in present without thinking about future.

The picture symbolizes detachment. The women has bandages over her eyes and mouth due which even though is present there, she cannot interact with the butterflies that are symbolic to the outer world for her. Her posture also suggests that she is distressed. This is what a lot of us do when we are upset we detach ourselves from people and world and cannot see the beauty in life. We can also say that this is how a lot of people who are mentally distressed feel. They feel restricted, unable to clearly interact with their surroundings and feel like they cannot communicate. This may be due to the stigma around mental health that makes it hard for them to get help and manage their emotions. The archaic norms in our society that promote stoicism in men and look down on women for expressing emotions also make it difficult for people to properly deal with emotions, in these situations too people can feel like the women in the picture, living in a society that doesn't allow them to get help for mental illnesses easily and calls them 'crazy'.

XI-F

There is so much more to a person than what meets the eye. Similarly, there so much more in this picture than what can be seen. There is something deep, something which can only be felt in the depth of our hearts. Appearances can be deceiving. Butterflies are flying around this girl but she looks restricted. She is forced to hide who she really is behind these covers to meet the almost unachievable standards set by the society of being an ideal women. Just like the Butterflies ,other people might be attracted to her but she is not really happy, because why would she be? If you have to hide behind covers to make people like you, would you be happy?
It feels like she is frightened, she's exhausted. In trying to make others happy, she's putting her own mental health at stake. From the beginning of our lives,we have been conditioned to think of beauty in a certain way,a way which is visible. What we don't realize is the fact that every single being fortunate enough to be living on this spectacular planet of ours is the definition of beauty. We might be flawed or clumsy or messy but we are all so very beautiful. But we didn't get this precious life to prove that we are beautiful.
This pictures emphasizes that women are always put in a box of being pretty. Are we pretty? Absolutely! But are we just pretty? NO, we are so much more than being just pretty. We are strong,we are funny, we are generous, we are smart and so much more. The girl's mouth in this picture is completely covered which represents that she feels silenced, like her voice is drowned under the thunder. Because this cruel world still thinks that women are better seen and not heard.

Let's this world wrong then ladies, shall we. Let's write the future with our hands. Let's show them, NO wait ! ,Let's make them hear what we have got to say. Let them cut us ,shut us but we won't be silenced anymore by these unnatural ideas of what a women is supposed to be. Let them lock us in a cage ,we won't just lay down and wait to die. We'll take these broken wings and they'll watch us fly across the sky.
Let's remove these covers and Let's be who we want to be not who we are supposed to be ladies, shall we now?

The butterfly has been a symbol of transformation, hope and faith for thousands of years. The butterfly is also a symbol of rebirth, since it goes through so many life cycles -- from larva to caterpillar to chrysallis and finally to a beautiful, flying butterfly. It has become a symbol for rebirth and resurrection, for the triumph of the spirit and the soul over the physical prison , material world .Among the ancients, is an emblem of the soul and of unconscious attraction towards light .The girl who's face is wrapped around with cloth hides her eyes ( windows to soul ) and mouth ( door to mind ) doesn't let anybody see her emotions like fear, awe , pain ,etc and keeps it all inside .Humans are exquisitely sensitive to context, and that can very dramatically shape what is seen in a face.Even then butterflies can sense the flagrance coming from that girl who is identical to that of a delicate flower but strong as she is still surviving in this world of criticism( about the standard set for the people affecting the mental health of many in this picture though it is about the girl) that's what lights the face of the girl ,this type of uniqueness."Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” — Kahlil Gibran.Butterflies ( ray of that light )therefore tries to heal her pain by giving her hope and faith ,appreciates her spirit ,soul and mind, tells her to express her emotions and not to hide from this world rather face it." You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.”.In the end that girl would still be same but reborn.

"I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn."- Anne Frank
This picture for me in its true sense symbolizes a route to courage and resilience by writing and speaking up about my despair. Though I am guided to hide behind a wall of insecurities and I am blinded as well as silenced by bandages of other people's perception about me. I shine through the melancholy darkness and brighten the world by speaking up. These butterflies stand out the most yet they simply represent the force of my words. Just like how these butterflies are adding optimism to this atrocious world, my words have the power to beautify the repugnant and grim sections of my mind and eventually of the society.

"The struggle that you are in today is developing the strength you need tomorrow".
During the hectic life and being walked through diverse situations, we have lost the essence of our own identity. This profundity picture throws light on two major words- perseverance and resilient. According to me the woman in the picture is locked behind the bars of oppression, depression, stoicism, anxiety . The inevitable fear to meet the expectations of others has opened the door of strees .To unlock this door, the most vital key is to love ourselves. To spread optimism, aim high, fly with your wings just like a butterfly. Yes! Butterflies are a metaphor demonstrating rebirth, transformation, hope . A butterfly breaks the cocoon and comes out stronger, bolder, we should also mold ourselves to possess such traits. Life is short, mortal, so break out the shell and become the best version of you . If life is a cycle then the breaks are barriers which represents the bandages over the woman.
To fade away all the disparities :- Confide your feelings in a diary. Music is the best medicine to heal the pain and sufferings.
Always remember:-"Life is like a staircase. Each step is valuable. Keep going upwards, each step may get harder, but don't stop.
