         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong><mark>In the first week session, our lecturer started with ice-breaking. We have 15 teachers, including myself, introducing ourselves and getting to know each other. After the ice-breaking session, Dr. Asyikin briefed us on the course details so we could take notes throughout Semester 2. It is including assignments and topics in ETL 5033. I feel excited and at the same time ready for this course. I am so glad that I was able to be in this class that was so rich with information.</mark></strong></p>]]></description>

Malaysia's adoption of comprehensive educational technology standards demonstrates a forward-thinking approach. By focusing on professional development and aligning with international frameworks, Malaysian school  ensures its educational practices remain relevant and effective in a global context. This commitment not only supports technological integration but also promotes digital citizenship, fostering responsible and informed technology use.          <description><![CDATA[<p><strong><mark>On this week, we covered on emerging technology and future trends. Education technology is evolving rapidly due to the increasing presence of computers. It has transitioned from being just a tool for study to an essential and integrated part of education. Educators must guide students in using technology effectively and responsibly, as it can improve life but also pose risks to physical and mental well-being. With the ever-changing digital age, careful monitoring and direction of technology use are necessary. For example, of educational technologies include learning management systems (LMS), interactive whiteboards, educational apps, online assessments, social media, and video conferencing. Future trends include artificial intelligence (AI), virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), adaptive learning, gamification, open educational resources, and wearable devices. A significant issue in adopting education technology is resistance to change among teachers. This resistance often stems from a lack of skills and training in using new technologies. Teachers may find these tools risky and challenging due to inadequate support and unclear benefits. Administrators also contribute by not clearly identifying and promoting effective tools. To overcome this challenge, educators need proper training and development to build confidence and knowledge in using technology. Embracing these changes is essential for modern education.</mark></strong></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong><mark>Distractions Caused by Technology in Education</mark></strong></p><p><mark><br>The misuse or overuse of digital tools and technologies can lead to distraction, which is a significant problem in the context of education. Although technology can improve learning, it also gives pupils the chance to become distracted from their studies.</mark></p><p><br/></p><p><mark>For example, student may access to non-educational content to social media, gaming, and entertainment platforms on devices including tablets, computers, and smartphones. Students might spend more time on these distractions than on academic work if sufficient supervision isn't provided.</mark></p><p><br/></p><p><mark>In order to deal with misuse of digital tools is teachers need to teach students to use technology safely and to put academic work ahead of distractions is known as digital literacy education. Their device also need to be monitoring by the teacher by putting software that restricts access to non-educational websites or apps when classes are in session. Other than that, teacher also need to use actively engagement techniques on teaching strategies, such problem-based learning or gamification, to maintain students' attention. </mark></p>]]></description>

The significance of using digital tools to improve students' comprehension of actual logistics operations is something I can relates&nbsp;to my work as a teacher. The use of online collaboration platforms, supply chain management software, and simulations contributes to the development of an interesting and useful learning environment.  Additionally, the discussion of active learning techniques like project-based and case-based learning fits perfectly with my style of instruction.          <title>Reflection Week 5</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><mark>During our physical class, on </mark><strong><mark>7 February 2025</mark></strong><mark>, we had our first physical class with </mark><strong><mark>Prof. Madya Dr. Norasyikin Binti Mahmud</mark></strong><mark>. It was exciting to finally meet her and our classmates in person. As a science computer class, we collab with other subjects and getting to know each other. </mark></p><p><mark>The class started with a sharing session where we discussed digital tools we have used in teaching. Each group then presented a tool, explaining its features and benefits. My group presented </mark><strong><mark>Wooclap</mark></strong><mark>, an interactive platform for quizzes, polls, and word clouds. We also learned about tools like </mark><strong><mark>Jotform, Mentimeter, Quizizz, Google Classroom, AhaSlides, Microsoft Teams, and QuizWhizzer</mark></strong><mark>.</mark></p><p><strong><mark>Key Takeaways &amp; Challenges</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p><mark>Digital tools make learning more engaging, but they should be used wisely.</mark></p></li><li><p><mark>Some students struggle with technology, and many tools have limited free features.</mark></p></li><li><p><mark>Technical issues can also make it hard to use these tools effectively.</mark></p></li></ul><p><strong><mark>Solutions</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p><mark>Training for teachers and students can help them use technology better.</mark></p></li><li><p><mark>Free or open-source tools can be good alternatives to paid ones.</mark></p></li><li><p><mark>Focusing on a few effective tools can make lessons smoother.</mark></p></li></ul><p><mark>Overall, it was a fun and productive session.          <title>Reflection Week 6</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong><mark>As educators, we need to explore various learning styles, as students have different ways of absorbing information—some are kinesthetic learners, while others are visual or auditory.</mark></strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>In this chapter, we learnt on our teaching methods should be interactive and encourage two-way communication to ensure better student engagement.</mark></strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>Every learning process requires assessments to measure student progress. Formative assessments take place throughout the semester to track ongoing learning, while summative assessments evaluate overall student achievement at the end of a learning period.</mark></strong></p><p><strong><mark>Teachers must also assess their own teaching effectiveness. Especially with senior teachers can provide constructive feedback to help us grow and improve professionally.</mark></strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>Understanding instructional design theories is crucial in enhancing our teaching strategies. For instance, B.F. Skinner's behaviorist theory emphasizes the role of rewards in increasing student engagement and motivation.</mark></strong></p><p><strong><mark>Cognitive theories, on the other hand, focus on memory and intellectual capacity. Engaging students’ attention is essential for effective learning. One useful framework is Gagne’s Nine Events of Instruction, which outlines a structured approach to teaching that maximizes student learning outcomes.</mark></strong></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
