         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sophia's design won and she had her building constructed, after visiting the site, reporters said that she had a breakdown.<br>This gave female architects a bad reputation and she was told that architecture wasn't a good profession for her.<br>This was the first and last building she designed.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Louis Sullivan:<br><br><br></div><div>Known as the ‘father of skyscrapers’ also ‘the father of modernism’. He is one of the most influential architects of the 19th century. Creating great influence through his attention to details and unique ornamentation.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>At the age of 24 Sullivan joined forces with Dankmar as a full-time partner of Adler and Sullivan. He also mentored under Frank Lloyd Wright as a critic at the Chicago School of architecture.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Here are Some of his main projects which&nbsp;</div><div>Exhibited his modernist design skills.</div><div><br></div><div>The Auditorium building-</div><div>1890, on 50 E Congress parkway 430 S Michigan Ave</div><div>(considered the biggest thing in Chicago since the fire of 1871)&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The wainwright Building -</div><div>1891,St Louis Missouri USA&nbsp;</div><div>‘An influential prototype of the modern office architecture’, ‘the first skyscraper that truly looked the part’&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Carson, Pirie Scott and company building -</div><div>1899, Chicago Illinois USA, remarkable for its steen framed structure, which allowed a dramatic increase in window area, allowing for a great amount of daylight to enter.&nbsp;<br><br>The Prudential (Guaranty ) Building By Louis Sullivan -</div><div>1896, An early skyscraper in Buffalo New York,</div><div>Based on Sullivan a design ‘form follows function’ designed by Louis Sullivan and Dankmar Adler, They both then decided the building into four zones.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
