Nowadays people especially senior citizens are scared of taking vaccines due to many fake news and false information about it. In fact, vaccines are proven clinically to reduce the symptoms of chronic diseases due to virus. So, how to ensure the elderly take vaccines and why it is important?

Hello everyone. I am Muhammad Firdaus Bin Abdul Rahman. I live in Taiping, Perak. I am currently third year student in pharmacy USM. You all can call me Daus or Pidot.
I love foods and cats. In my house, there are 7 cats which all of them are Persian and mixed breed. I like to play badminton with friends and enjoy teamwork sports. I also love to play mobile games such as Mobile Legends and Ragnarok.

In a nutshell, vaccines provide immunity and protect against viral infection in our body. The younger generation, family and community should give supports and engage the elder to get vaccinated. In addition, Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) have to organize a campaign to educate the elderly about importance of taking vaccines. Besides, MCMC and MOH should eradicate fake news and myths about vaccines. Herd immunity can be achieved if majority of people are vaccinated.
