This book is about a girl named Malencia Vale who was chosen for the official testing of the United Commenwealth. Malencia leaves her loving family to travel to the Testing center to go through vigerous amounts of writing and hands on tests. All of these test were test her ability to think on her feet. As she goes through these tests she will see how making one mistakes can cost you your life, and will have to continually be cautious. No matter what is thrown at her she was able to find new ways to get over the obstacle. Cia also has great confidence and was able to stay focused even when people were dying right in front of her eyes. It has a wonderful plot and is full of twist and turns that will keep your attention the whole way through. I really enjoyed the plot and how the author explains the characters.
