Luckily, my friend suggest that I use internet rather than WiFi, and so THAT’s the issue after all. Gladly, I’ll post and keep updates about what I learn and things should be practice here. Let’s take this to the ultimate!

Sincerely,
Pisey

For this week’s reading, I was certainly shocked by the fact that the target that the townspeople were looking for was the respected priest himself because of all the thrilling and mysterious, it was the person who respected God so much that no one believes he would do such a thing was the one who was behind the punishments that Hester receive. And this finding taught me that men are less responsible for the actions that they did. Although some men are pure sacrificed, those men are rare. And I also learn that anyone can be your enemy and you can not rely on someone too much or you will be dead meat. I may not find more but I hope to receive some comments about the moral of the story in the right way. Thanks!!

Last week, I studied the format of integrated writing. Before I don’t understand much about the word integrated writing, nor did I know how to write it. But it is quite easy to understand. So in the lesson, I learned that it should not exceed 250 words, but to make the writing smooth, it's best to stick with 150 words ( just carve out the necessary and needed information to a good score). In integrated writing, we use the information for the reading and listening to write them. There two types of integrated writing, but I first learn about the contrast integrated writing. We have to get the main points of both reading and listening sections to compare to each other in the main body. In the introduction, we just have to write the topic formally. And remember to use the transition smoothly and effectively. Use some examples from the reading or listening as you wish. It's not about getting biased, so it is recommended to not stand on one side. It is optional for writers to write the conclusion of the essay. We also read the reading.

From,
Pisey.

For this week, we studied the formats of speaking in the TOFEL test. There are basic and alternative structures. I prefer both, but it depends on the circumstances. In the 45 seconds, it is essential to include a proper and clear introduction, but not a restating word meaning. And the main body should consist of two reasons whether they are simple or alternative format. In the simple format, we raise two reasons to support our chosen choice. In the alternative format, we raise the benefit and the impact. To get a good speaking score, it's essential to deliver your speaking fluently, clear, and coherently. It's always optional to include or not to include a conclusion in speaking. But, I need more practice. I somehow do not know many websites which offer practice test. But I would love to know if anyone would tell me.

Dearly to the one who is reading this,

So on to this week, I have studied the TOFEL listening method. As usual, you have to answer the questions that are being asked correctly after you have listened to the lecture or the conversation. In this week’s lessons, we have to respond to the gist-content as well as gist- purpose questions. Gist content question ask for the main idea of the listening. Gist- purpose question ask for the place where it happened or where it takes place. And the answers usually appear near the beginning of the listening. So not a hard thing to say, but you need to listen carefully and pay attention to it to get the correct answers. There are some signal words to help identity it which can be tricky sometimes. After you have listened to the rest of the passage, confirm, adjust and connect the details, then eliminate, and choose the answers. So that’s all for this week’s lessons. But I hope to find more speaking and paraphrasing questions practice, so if ms find anything useful for practicing, kindly tell me as well. I would love to know all of them. 🌟💓

Sincerely, Pisey.

And honestly, it made me feel more confident after I have practiced speaking one or two times. It's true that if you practice doing something, you will eventually be able to do it well with confidence. My instructor told me to keep on practicing, experiencing new topics, and pushing myself for a better result. I sure will achieve the things that I want if I set my goal, push my track, learn gradually, and especially practice is the best method to test how deep is the water level of the ocean.

Hello reader, this week I have learned about the writing task. This is pretty unique, but do not fear, there will be some structures that you can follow to help write the best essay and to ensure you got it the best. However, I didn't go on to the body yet, but I got the feeling that it will be shorter in length just because the introduction takes up about 60 to 80-word counts. For the introduction, you may want to write the general idea, then coming down to connect with the thesis statement. And for the thesis statement, there are some keywords you have to keep in mind because this is an independent writing task after all. As state the main ideas in the thesis statement. Lastly, the conclusion can't bring up new ideas, so repeat the main points by rephrasing them. That's all! ( 𝙳𝚒𝚍 𝙸 𝚐𝚎𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚌𝚕𝚞𝚜𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝?😐 𝙸𝚏 𝚗𝚘𝚝, 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚝 𝚖𝚎 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚜𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗.

I have studied the integrated speaking and integrated writing. About speaking task 6, it is about explaining and supporting section. I have posted the general organization of this part. And I would love to say that it was well. This particular speaking requires us to confide the problem, give the solutions which were being raised in the listening afterward, and lastly give out your point of view on which solutions are best used. And that to improve more is to be certain that you know what transition to use, be precise on what you will say to avoid grammatical errors as well as reducing saying words that aren’t necessary, and also to summarize it in a short term. About writing skill 4, it is about integrated writing. In this section, we read the reading, later on, there is a lecture that we have to listen to. Now here is our task, what we have to do is to match which parts in the listening and reading support each other, and write using the format of reading and listening contrasting each other. Beware of the grammar usages with transitions.

On Thursday, we did some reading strategies, which are about answering the purpose questions. There are three types of purpose questions.

This week we learn about the reading section of Unit 6. And for the reading section, there were prose questions and purpose questions. Prose questions ask the reader to give the 3 main ideas and not the minor ideas in the passages. Minors’ are usually representatives of supporting details, examples, not true or not mentioned. I do not have much trouble with the prose questions, but I do have some difficulties in finding the right responses to purpose questions. Yet, I will try to find ways to differentiate them. And we also read the grapes of wrath unit 4.

This week we went through the listening section. In the listening section, we studied about the function and attitude question. Function questions ask us to draw the conclusion made by the speaker. Usually, we have to use our critical thinking to determine the answers. And for attitude questions, we are asked about the speaker’s intention or expression towards the subject. We also went through speaking section. In this speaking section, we will have one listening which is a lecture. From the lecture, we have to summarize the meaning of concept or phenomenon in the listening. We then have to analyze the examples or studies in the listening.

Give the definitions of the term, lead in, first study or example, second study or example. Conclusion optional.

And we also read the grapes of wrath.

We finished the speaking section and went through the writing section of Unit 6. This is the independent writing task which means we have to decide which sides we are on, brainstorm ideas, and then we can try to paraphrase the keywords. There are two types of essays we can write, and they are the standard format and the alternative format. The standard format structure is very basic. We just have to analyze the question, understand it, brainstorm ideas on why you support that side, write the thesis statement then paraphrase keywords. After these steps are done, we can write the essay. The introduction consists of the general statement( hook) the statement that connects the general statement to the thesis statement( background information) and the thesis statement which answers the questions with two reasons. Each body paragraph supports an idea of the thesis statement, then it has supporting details. This goes the same as for the second body paragraph. The conclusion can have three parts. The first is to paraphrase the thesis statement, second bring back the main supporting points or reasons. Lastly, the writer can give comments, etc. Alternative format structures are used when the question asks “ some people”. The introduction does not answer the question. It first starts with a general statement then giving the two sides audience who is the supporter and the opposition side. The body paragraphs can talk about the disadvantages or the advantages of each topic on each side. The conclusion is the part where we have to answer the question with reasons and give comments or points of view. We listened to the presenter of grape of wrath till chapter 8.

I think we almost finish unit 6. This week, we didn't do any intense work, just strengthening on adding more details in the main body paragraph. If we have to add details, it is always best to add them to the body paragraph. And usually, we don't want to touch the introduction or the conclusion. By asking questions that refer to the topic that you are standing on is crucial to bring more ideas. To write a strong body paragraph, it's best to include a main point that encompasses two sub-points. Then add more details, examples, etc to elaborate your essay. We didn't study on Friday, which meant no reading week.

There was a writing task that we finished in the writing Padlet. Now it is time for the big deal. Actually not that big, it’s just practice. We first started on the reading section. It was a good puzzle that I do not approve of yet. Frankly, it takes a broader picture to keep in mind when answering the questions. Therefore, we need to know what question types they belong to in order for us to use the strategies that are being studied. As a piece of advice from myself and to myself, I may have to practice a section a day if I do not have suitable time. On the other hand, if I have plenty of time in hand, I will surely consider making more flashcards and do more tests online. It's quite an improvement. Finally, nothing is better than keeping a positive vibe, determination, and concentration when we do does test since they require a big brain. That may not be all!!
Ohh,..... And we also read Grape of Wraths although I finished the story during my leisure time, and it was not quite pleasant tbh.

We only review and rate the points of the participants who made the video of reusing the old things or as the recycle fashion stands, as well as the day in my life video. It was fun and quite motivative and all to see those people to care about such things and try new things.

We have done the test of chapter 7 in toefl preparation text book. We did the listening section and speaking section. It was challenging. And I love challenges. By far, I guess some ways I need to improve to be on top is to understand what is needed to do( the rules) and for the listening, it's better to get a big idea rather than the details because, in towel listening, we mostly experience questions about what the listening is about, etc. And for speaking, I think I need to speak more enthusiastically and high quality clear as well with responding the right information. So far, I'm always ready for more. I just feel that these few days, I have problems with my height and body, I hope I won't be too tall because I have many high heels shoes, please excuse me, I love them all. ☺️☺️

So, we already did everything in the TOEFL practice book. And I have to say, I can’t wait to start practicing more everyday even though I knew I should have do it sooner but let’s not regret it because it won’t bring any thing better so the best thing to start doing is to start now and say no to procrastinations!! However, I sure will miss this class badly 😭😭 especially my gratitude to Ms Mercy for always supporting her students to go for what they are studying for. And I’m really am touched to know that she never really forget me😅. Surely, we need more teachers, and beings like her. She is inspiring, and a great model for me. I really thank her so much for her effort to push me to finish my book. When teachers go hard on you, you learn how to be flexible and be in their standards that’s how I managed to finish the book and shockingly, she stills remember it.😢 Tbh, I never really encounter any teachers who really care for the youngsters about morals and life outside the classroom. I felt safe and persuaded to study more. I’m so blessed to be in a part of her class and her students. I wish to send gifts to her💓💓 or there will be good reunions 🥰🥰 I’m writing that in my list.

( I’m writing too much, but I gotta express my perspectives xD )
