<title>My nerve cells responded to stimulus in the lab because I thought more about the meter stick hitting the floor and being loud so I knew I had to try to catch it and keep it from hitting the floor. But with me not knowing when the stick would be dropped I had to be ready but when the sticking was dropped I was surprised and my brain didn&#39;t react as fast but on the 2nd and 3rd trial my brain was ready for it to come so it responded quickly and I had a better time reaction. But I think my reaction was all from my eyes because my eyes saw the stimulus and then then my brain saw it and told my fingers to react and grab it. One of the jobs for the nervous system is to receive information inside and out of the body. So the nerve cell receives the information that was coming from outside of the body and I respond when my brain to grab it. And the other part of the nervous system is to direct the way your body reacts. So my brain directed the way I responded which was to grab the stick quickly before it hits the floor. So your nervous system is to help maintain homeostasis and how it does that is by directing the body to respond appropriately to the information that it received. When my brain was able to the read the information it got from my eyes it reacted apronpriatly by telling my nerves in my fingers to grab the meter stick.</title>
