         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is the problem with the types of networks used in deepfakes, called GANs. They have two neural networks, a generator and a discriminator, and the goal is for the generator to create a convincing enough deepfake to confuse the discriminator (make it think that it's actually a real face). When both networks improve (at generating and judging, respectively), it makes the deepfake extremely realistic.</div>]]></description>

The problem is that we really don't know where the bias is coming from, because often times it is so deeply engrained in society that we only notice it in instances like this with AI.</div>]]></description>
