In June 2021, there was a lack of active participation among the participants during the Welcome Party. However, the club members were persistent in ensuring that the participants be more active in the games that followed. The club also showed openness and warmth during the event to encourage the participants to open up, thereby increasing participation towards the end. Through this, the club learnt of various ways to ensure active participation for future events. The club now tries to be more proactive in establishing a safe and warm learning space when meetings are held.

(Met level 1)

From the month of May to July 2021, there were many proposals and planning required to be done by the members. The information of what was needed to be done was dispersed out to the relevant whatsapp groups which consisted of the relevant parties such as events and publicity heads. The liaison heads handled communication with external parties and passed on the information promptly and orderly to the team. The prompt timing and ordered manner of which information was shared and passed on enabled work to be completed much more quickly within the club. We too have collaborations with SPLA and SPRX in which we have meetings with and communicate with each other regarding the upcoming events.

(Met level 2)

Since the semester started as of April, there were multiple proposals and events that our club was in charge of executing. These include the monthly meetings, internal and external collaborations with various parties. Our club had to channel time and effort to come up with the proposals and discuss with the relevant parties on the desired outcome. Especially during the heightened alert for COVID in mid-May, many outdoor related events planned for had to be cancelled and CCAs could only be held online. Our club was able to vitally communicate with the respective leaders and personnel, including the club officers to adapt to these abrupt measures and planning.

During the months of march to july, we had a sudden surge of activities planned and interest from other clubs to collaborate with us. The members were active in looking at each event deeply and coming up with ideas for engaging online activities as most activities was recommended to be carried out online. Engagement and smoothness of sessions online was something to definitely prepare for because we did not know what to expect, things could run not smoothly. For example, for online events, there were pre-downloaded videos ready to be played if the connection went poor or searching up different kinds of online games we could introduce to build engagement. Another way the committee members were pro-active was in forging bonds with the members of the club through making use of telegram channels or instagram channels to communicate and bond with the members especially during the covid times.

(Met level 1)
