I am currently a Political Science Major and Early Childhood Studies Minor at Sonoma State University. My love for the law, and working with children has become something I am very passionate about and I hope to pass on to others some day. Child Advocate Lawyers work to protect the rights of minors in cases of divorce, child neglect or abuse, custody issues, and juvenile court proceedings. By becoming a Child Advocate Lawyer, I am hoping to not only give them advice and counsel on what to do and how to proceed but to be there for them as a support, mentor, and guide through this difficult time in their lives. Children are often going through many developmental changes, learning new things about themselves, and a lot of times have no guidance when faced with legal troubles. - Communicating with families; while going through a difficult time and legal proceedings it is important to keep constant communication between myself and the families. Making myself readily available to them with any questions or concerns one might have
-Children are better when they have the support of their family; making sure the child is supported by his/her family depending on the circumstances is something that is very important to the emotional, and mental well being of a child. The more the child feels supported by their family the more successful and better self-esteem the child will have. By supporting the family of the child, you are helping support the child as well

Each system within the theory has an effect on  the childs development . Everything around the child has an effect on them. The social, political, legal, and economic influences can be seen as nesting layers. 
Vygotsky's Theory of Socioculture Theory also ties in with my line of work. Knowledge is culturally constructed, and culturally determined.
