Over the last day, our family is searching for means to come to terms with the loss of our Mam. We keep staring at each other with dis-belief that we will not get to talk to a person we as a family loved so much. A person of fortitude, kindness, laughter, rich experience, immensely hard working nature is rare and our Priscilla Ma'am was all these and more. I have witnessed at first quarters the strain and effort Ma'am takes to prepare for a class. One such class was in June 2020 when Ma'am was taking a substitution class for my child. I was awe-stuck at the amount of material Ma'am had prepared for the one-off online class that too as a stand-in teacher. Many were our interactions since then. And I started observing Ma'am to easily treat anyone as one of her two children and you just could not escape Ma'am smile filled castigations amidst all the friendly banter thereby teaching you a life lesson or two. If you were a boy, you became Pravin for Ma'am and a girl became Preethi for Ma'am (Preethi and Pravin being Ma'am's daughter and son). We found Ma'am to be extremely creative and this spilled over to all the learning materials she creates on her own - remember the 'Wheel of Names'. The more I write, the more she flows in my writing as I am sure she is reading this from heaven above and has a michevious smile pointing at a grammatical miss in my passage. Ah! How we miss her!

We feel blessed to have known Ma'am and spent some quality time with her.
