The author describes the events of his story as more "unpredictable" to readers. He finds this to be more of an interesting approach to a story, for not only can it's story be interpreted in many ways, but where the story's climax, build up, etc. can also be interpreted differently - because of how he likes to bend time and space in his writing. Although this can be confusing, it allows for a completely different experience for each person who reads his material.

He was part of the army, and held captive during the battle of the bulge. He married his childhood sweetheart. He was a science fiction writer. Slaughterhouse 5 was his big hit. It expressed much of his pain from the war.

Time travel is always happening, and we do know how to control how fast we move through time, but we have limitations and cant realistically travel to the future without reaching near light speed. The only theoretical way to go back in time is to go faster than the speed of light because time slows down from your perspective the closer you get to light speed because the only constants in the universe is ones perspective of oneself and the speed of light. Mathematically it is proven impossible to go past light speed and back in time because of the equation Vac = (Vab + V bc)/(1 + (Vab*Vbc)/(c^2)),

The wind just fed the fire. It created a tornado force. It took him over 40 years to get over it because it was just such a traumatic experience. He said it was the worst of all the attacks he had experienced. He said he would never blame the allies.

One survivor said there were 40 people in the chamber where her parents suffocated but she was the only one who survived. She thought it was the ending of the war but when the bombings didn't stop she thought it was the end of the world. A British prisoner of war said it was evil, filled with fire, heat, explosions, and people burning. Wave after wave came over so the impact increased. 30-40 minutes after the first wave a bomb dropped right next to the place he was at and killed his friend. The second wave was the heaviest as it dropped 4,000 pounds with the wind the fire came at a tornado force. It dehumanized everything. He had been through countless wars and battles but nothing could prepare him for that night, seeing woman and children on fire in the air.

Though we have a lot of advanced technology, we are not able to time travel. In space you can time travel by going through a worm hole, but I do not think it would be possible to live. The only way to go back in time is to go faster than the speed of light because time slows down from your perspective the closer you get to light speed. Therefore, time travel is impossible at this point in time.
