Nowadays, there's an emphasis on accesibility as computers are used by all kinds of people.<br><br>A GUI makes use of a WIMP environment: windows, icons, menus and pointer. The background of the screen is the desktop, which contains icons that represent files or folders.&nbsp;<br><br>Double-clicking a folder opens a window with the contents or the folder, while double-clicking on a program opens a window with the program's interface.<br><br>Modern OSs also provide acces to networks and multitasking. Some of the most popular ones are&nbsp; Windows, Mac OS, Unix, Linux...<br><br>They differ on device installation and compatibility with software, among others.</div>]]></description>
